Job Description Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) PER DIEM provides comprehensive, patient-centered care to patients in the pre-operative and post-operative phases of ambulatory surgery, ensuring a safe and efficient surgical experience. You will work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care. Responsibilities: * Pre-Operative Care: • Conduct thorough patient assessments., • Prepare patients for surgery, including medication administration, IV fluids, and patient education., • Obtain informed consent and ensure all pre-operative requirements are met., • Coordinate with surgical team to ensure a smooth transition to the operating room. Post-Operative Care: • Provide post-anesthesia care, monitoring patient recovery and vital signs., • Manage pain and address patient concerns., • Prepare patients for discharge, providing clear instructions and follow-up care., • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth patient transitions. General Responsibilities: • Maintain accurate and complete patient records., • Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations., • Participate in quality improvement activities., • Provide patient and family education as needed., • Maintain a clean and organized work environment., • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities. Education: • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing., • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey. Experience: • Minimum 5 years of experience in a surgical setting, or ambulatory surgery center experience required. Skills and Competencies: • Strong clinical skills and knowledge., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills., • Ability to work independently and as part of a team., • Strong organizational and time management skills., • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities. Certifications: • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required., • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required., • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
