Job DescriptionJob Title: Electrical Wire Harness Assembler Job Description This role focuses on assembling, reworking, and testing electrical wire harnesses for aircraft components by following detailed work orders, diagrams, and wire lists. You will use your electrical experience to ensure high-quality assemblies, accurate documentation, and safe, reliable performance of all harnesses produced. Responsibilities • Read and interpret work orders, diagrams, form boards, and wire lists to determine required materials and the sequence of assembly., • Assemble and rework electrical wire harnesses for aircraft components according to specifications and quality standards., • Rework connectors, back shells, wire terminations, splices, split rings, lugs, and other components built into a wire harness., • Wrap and tie wires neatly and securely to maintain organization and integrity of the harness., • Route wires accurately through harness assemblies, ensuring proper layout and adherence to routing requirements., • Change routing and breakouts as needed based on updated instructions or engineering changes. Essential Skills • At least 1 year of aircraft electrical experience, specifically working with wire harnesses or related electrical assemblies., • Hands-on experience with wire harness assembly and repair for aircraft components., • Ability to read and interpret work orders, diagrams, form boards, and wire lists., • Proficiency in reworking connectors, back shells, wire terminations, splices, split rings, lugs, and other harness components. Shift • Candidates must be available to work both 1st and 3rd shift schedules. The 3rd shift schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 9:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. (starting Sunday night), and Friday from 9:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. (ending at 4:30 a.m. on Friday). The dress code requires jeans, a work shirt, and closed-toe shoes. The environment is hands-on and detail-oriented, with frequent use of diagrams, form boards, wire lists, and electrical testing equipment to complete and verify harness assemblies. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
