Job Description Job Title: Assembler Job Description We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assembler to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. In this role, you will assemble components into finished products according to specifications, blueprints, and work orders while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. You will work with a variety of hand and power tools, interpret technical drawings, and collaborate closely with your team to support a high-growth manufacturing operation. Responsibilities • Assemble various components into finished products according to specifications, blueprints, diagrams, and work orders., • Follow all company safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of safety shoes, glasses, ear protection, and other required protective equipment., • Use hand tools, power tools, and torque wrenches safely and correctly to install and secure materials to required specifications., • Read and interpret diagrams, schematics, front views, bills of materials, drawings, and other manufacturing information to ensure accurate assembly., • Ensure the quality of structures by confirming products are level, square, and assembled to specification., • Inspect components such as corner posts, roofs, and covers for damage, including dents and scratches, before and during assembly., • Torque bolts to required specifications using torque wrenches and verify proper fit and alignment., • Assemble copper bussing according to design, checking for correct spacing from phase to phase and ground., • Perform visual inspections of material before and after assembly, identify nonconforming parts, and troubleshoot errors to maintain quality standards., • Utilize various hand tools and follow established procedures to accurately install materials and complete assigned functions., • Assemble switchboards, panelboards, and related components using oral and written instructions, proactively identifying missing components or issues. Essential Skills • Proven experience working as an Assembler in a manufacturing environment., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and manufacturing drawings., • Strong ability to work with concentration, accuracy, and attention to detail., • Ability to work both independently and cooperatively within a team environment., • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills., • Ability to follow oral and written instructions to assemble switchboards, panelboards, and related products., • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and torque wrenches safely and effectively., • Clear understanding of manufacturing information such as front views, bills of materials, drawings, blueprints, and order entry systems., • Familiarity with assembly tools, techniques, and standard manufacturing processes., • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods., • Ability to multitask, set work priorities, and manage time efficiently., • High school diploma or equivalent. Work Environment You will work on a manufacturing floor in a brand-new facility that will eventually support approximately 200–250 people on site. The schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., offering a consistent four-day workweek. The environment includes exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures typical of a production setting. You will stand or walk for long periods and occasionally lift 25–50 lbs as part of your daily tasks. Steel-toed boots are required, and safety glasses are provided. Long pants made of thicker material (not leggings) and long sleeves or cut-resistant sleeves are required; cut-resistant sleeves are supported by the company. During your first week, you will receive dedicated training before being assigned to your team, ensuring you are fully prepared for the production environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glen Burnie, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
