Job Description About the Role The Board Assembly Manufacturing Associate III is a skilled manufacturing role responsible for advanced printed circuit board (PCB) assembly, inspection, and repair. This position will function as a re-work specialist for PCBs that require repair or modification, playing a critical role in ensuring product quality and compliance with IPC, JSTD, aerospace, and customer-specific standards. Key Responsibilities • Perform advanced PCB assembly and re-work, including repair and modification of boards requiring corrective action, • Use soldering equipment such as hot iron and hot plate for SMT and through-hole soldering, including leaded and lead-free processes, • Execute advanced board re-work, including ITAR-regulated, JSTD, and aerospace-standard assemblies, • Follow work orders, production drawings, travelers, control plans, ECNs, and deviations, • Inspect PCBs for component placement, polarity, orientation, solder quality, cleanliness, and defects, • Identify defects, determine root cause, and document quality findings and corrective actions, • Perform continuity testing using ohm meters and inspection tools, • Use microscopes and magnification equipment for precision assembly and inspection, • Conduct mechanical assembly using hand tools and calipers, • Operate PCB baking equipment and provide backup support for wash machine operations, • Ensure compliance with IPC-A-610, IPC-620, JSTD, and internal quality standards, • Record production and quality data using manufacturing tracking systems, • Support production priorities and assist with training and guidance of other associates as needed Qualifications • High school diploma or GED required, • Minimum of three years of related manufacturing experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, • IPC certification (IPC-A-610 and/or IPC-620) required; candidates not currently certified must be willing to obtain certification, which will be paid for by the company, • Demonstrated experience performing advanced PCB re-work and repair, • Strong knowledge of SMT and through-hole soldering techniques, • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and drawings, • Basic computer skills and experience using ERP or production tracking systems, • Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety, • Ability to work effectively in a team-based manufacturing environment Physical Requirements • Ability to sit at a workbench for up to eight hours per day, • Frequent use of hands and fingers for soldering, crimping, and handling small components, • Occasional standing and walking, • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally, • Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus, • Ability to work safely around moving mechanical parts and electrical components What We Offer • Comprehensive training program – no experience necessary, • Opportunities for career advancement, • Supportive team environment focused on collaboration, • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, Life, LTD, 401(k) & matching, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, • Employee will be eligible for the profit share bonus or Vexos performance bonus How to Apply Please send your resume to .
