Litigation Attorney - Associate - Insurance Defense

Job Description This position is for our White Plains Office on a Hybrid Schedule Malapero Prisco & Klauber LLP is seeking junior and senior litigation attorneys to join our growing litigation practice. This role is ideal for attorneys with experience in insurance defense, tort litigation, general liability, construction law, and NYS Labor Law. Key Responsibilities • Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation, • Appear in court across NYC, Westchester, Nassau, and Suffolk counties, • Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel, • Collaborate with a team of experienced litigators in a results-driven environment Qualifications • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school, • Active admission to the New York State Bar (required), • 2+ years of litigation experience preferred, • Strong legal writing, analytical, and case management skills Compensation & Benefits • Hybrid schedule (3 days in office / 2 remote), • Competitive salary + discretionary bonuses, • Health, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, • PTO + 11 federal holidays, • Pre-tax commuter and transit benefits Salary Range: • Junior Associate: $85,000 – $120,000, • Senior Associate: $120,000 – $200,000 Salary: A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, and accident insurance.
