Job DescriptionWe are seeking a seasoned and proactive Controller to lead the finance and accounting function across three manufacturing sites and manage two profit-and-loss statements (P&Ls). This role is critical to ensuring GAAP and SOX compliance while driving financial discipline, operational excellence, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in cost accounting, capitalized manufacturing variances, and ERP systems, along with a strong point of view on how a high-performing finance organization should operate. This is a hands-on leadership role for a self-starter who owns the numbers, asks the right questions, and drives clarity, accountability, and results.Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Lead the full accounting and finance function across three manufacturing sites and two P&Ls, ensuring consistent processes, reporting, and internal controls across locations., • Own timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes in full compliance with U.S. GAAP., • Establish, maintain, and enforce SOX-compliant internal controls; lead audit readiness and compliance activities., • Drive excellence in cost accounting, including standard costing, inventory valuation, BOM integrity, and capitalized manufacturing variance analysis., • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure discrepancies are resolved through effective root-cause analysis., • Leverage ERP systems to support accurate production order tracking, costing, and financial reporting; identify gaps and lead system and process improvements., • Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to support operations, supply chain, and executive leadership decision-making., • Develop and manage site-level budgets, rolling forecasts, and capital investment planning., • Lead, coach, and develop finance team members across sites, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and collaboration., • Serve as a strategic business partner to the General Manager and leadership team, applying financial insight to daily operations and long-term strategy., • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement and profitability., • Manage interactions with corporate finance, external auditors, and other internal and external stakeholders., • Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements, • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA strongly preferred., • 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment., • Strong background in cost accounting and capitalized manufacturing variance tracking., • Hands-on experience managing or supporting multiple P&Ls., • High proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica, SAP, Oracle, or similar); experience with system implementations or improvements is a plus., • In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX, and internal control frameworks., • Proven leadership ability, including managing finance teams across remote or multi-site environments., • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with sound judgment and decision-making capabilities., • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, results-driven environment., • Experience with HRIS systems such as Paylocity, ADP, or Workday is a plus.
