Key Responsibilities • Manage a diverse caseload including personal injury, wrongful death, trucking, maritime, construction, and general liability matters, • Represent insurers, energy companies, transportation carriers, and commercial clients in complex litigation, • Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation, • Collaborate directly with partners, clients, and insurance carriers on litigation strategy, • Conduct depositions, prepare witnesses, and assist in mediation and trial proceedings, • Maintain ownership of files with strong attention to detail and strategic judgment, • Contribute to a fast-paced, trial-focused litigation practice Qualifications • 2–5 years of experience as a Litigation Associate Attorney, Insurance Defense Attorney, or Civil Litigation Associate, • Background in insurance defense, personal injury, transportation, maritime, energy, or construction litigation preferred, • Admission to the Texas Bar (Texas Bar required), • Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills, • Ability to manage multiple matters in a high-volume litigation environment, • Experience handling depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation preferred Education • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school Certifications • Licensed to practice law in Texas Skills • Strong legal research, drafting, and advocacy skills, • Experience with depositions and discovery processes, • Excellent organizational and case management abilities, • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, • Strong interpersonal and client-facing communication skills Culture & Firm Appeal This firm has built a strong reputation over the past two decades as a litigation powerhouse with a focus on defense work across multiple industries.
