The Regional Head of Lottery Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic oversight and operational execution of lottery activities across a designated multi-state region. This position directly manages and mentors the individual State Operations Managers, ensuring the consistent achievement of production targets, maximization of net revenue to the company from the region, and maintaining strict compliance with local and national regulatory frameworks. The Regional Head drives standardization and best practices in areas such as production workflows, inventory control, game implementation, security protocols, risk mitigation, retail operations and staffing efficiency - serving as the critical link between corporate strategy and field-level execution. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader, makes data-driven decisions, and can collaborate well with cross-functional teams across the country. Change Manager: Experience in successfully leading organizational change, process roll-outs, or system implementations across diverse workforces and multiple locations. What you'll do: • Operational Leadership:, • Translate the strategic vision and company goals into clear, actionable production plans and tactical initiatives for the region and states., • Ensure fulfillment and retail operations are meeting productivity and quality goals whilst balancing operating costs., • Review and approve bi-weekly payroll cycles and shift scheduling within the region., • Manage relationships with key local vendors and partners when needed, • Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure vendors meet agreed-upon service levels, when needed, • Address operational issues impacting customer satisfaction promptly and effectively., • Establish, track, and report on departmental KPIs to the Senior Leadership Team., • Team Leadership:, • Recruit, train, and retain a high-performing team of Store Operations Managers - ensuring clear goals are set at both an individual and team level - with an emphasis on fostering a positive, inclusive, collaborative work environment., • Foster a culture of high performance through collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement., • Supporting Store Operations Managers to solve key issues. Collaborating with HR to assess engagement, turnover, and efficiency at a local level., • Mentoring and developing management staff to build a motivated and resilient high-performing workforce., • Process Optimization:, • Analyze existing processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement, supporting decisions through data and research., • Presenting proposals for change to leadership members - by leveraging their superior written and verbal communication skills., • Collaborate with Central Operations to create, implement, and maintain standard retail and production operating procedures - being a champion for the standardized training programs., • Identify operational risks within the production environment and develop mitigation plans to prevent disruption., • Define and implement retail-centric initiatives to support sales compliance and maximize online conversion across the region, • Cost Management, Reporting and Analysis:, • Generate regular reports on operational performance and key metrics. Analyze data to make informed decisions and recommendations for process improvements., • Provide clear regional business updates to leadership as needed., • Manage the sales and cost budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial sustainability., • Identify opportunities for both revenue generation and cost savings., • P&L Management:, • This position oversees financial performance within the region, ensuring spend is within budget analyzing financial performance via PnL review, and strategizing with VP to make informed decisions to meet or exceed financial objectives while remaining cost-effective., • Risk and Compliance:, • Become a functional expert of and stay abreast of industry regulations and ensure the company's compliance with legal requirements, with specific expertise in your assigned region., • Collaborate with legal and compliance & central operations teams to implement and maintain necessary protocols., • Assess operational risks and implement mitigation strategies - including business continuity plans and disaster recovery processes - to ensure business resilience and uninterrupted operations., • Oversee the maintenance and efficient operation of all production facilities, machinery, and equipment Requirements • 5+ years experience people & operational leadership in high-volume production, retail, logistics, or related field, • Experience managing multiple locations spread out across a region, • Deep understanding of Draw, Scratch, and Lottery Retail Operations., • Advanced skills in Google doc suite for data analysis, writing operational documents, and delivering presentations horizontally and vertically. Job Type: Full-time , Hybrid. Up to 25% travel.
