The General Manager will provide strategic and day-to-day operational leadership to ensure smooth and successful operation of The Village. This role demands a highly motivated and experienced individual with a passion for efficiency and creating a welcoming and thriving community. This ideal candidate considers themselves a generalist, ready to dive in and build a hospitality brand from the ground up. The General Manager will be an impactful leader across the entire team, use data to optimize performance and efficiency of our operation, and instill a culture of excellence across our team. This position is a full-time salaried-exempt position that directly reports to The Village CEO. WHAT YOULL DO Strategic Leadership & Management: • Act as a direct extension of the CEO, as it relates to day to day operations driving the overall vision of The Village in San Antonio., • Manage the club's Profit and Loss (P&L), develop and execute strategies to maximize revenue and control costs., • Manage a high-performing team, foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and gracious hospitality., • Oversee all aspects of operations, including spa, salon, childcare, food and beverage, fitness, and facilities to ensure a positive member experience, • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and club policies., • Serve as a magnetic, engaging, and professional leader who represents our values and fosters strong relationships with members and staff.Operational Oversight & Analytics:, • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the club's facilities, ensure a beautiful, clean, safe, and welcoming environment., • Support CEO with management of buildout including meeting with contractor and overseeing timeline., • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts and ensure quality service delivery., • Implement and maintain efficient operational processes and procedures., • Make data driven decisions to increase efficiency and effectiveness across our operation.Member & Guest Relations:, • Ensure exceptional member and guest experiences by providing personalized service and exceeding expectations., • Address member and guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally., • Actively engage with members, build strong relationships and nurture a sense of community.Operational Oversight & Facility Management:, • Represent The Village at community events and networking opportunities., • Supporting relationships with local businesses, organizations, and influencers., • Ideally, a long-term city resident with extensive knowledge of and appreciation for San Antonio's politics, social fabric, professional and creative groups, social scenes, and near and long-term growth potential.WHO YOU ARE, • A world-class hospitality professional with a proven record of building businesses, growing teams, and developing close communities., • This isnt your first rodeo: you have a minimum of 8 years of leadership experience in hospitality (including but not limited to members clubs, hotel, food and beverage, or spa), business consulting or services requiring attentive customer engagement, or similar fields., • You have strong business acumen, an appreciation for seamless business operations, and an ease with both people and numbers., • Highly organized with an extreme attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You take a data-driven approach to ensure youre operating as efficiently as possible and prioritizing the right things., • Strong financial acumen and budgeting skills with a proven track record of success in managing P&L, operations, and team performance., • You have a deep understanding of and appreciation for the San Antonio community. You will enjoy representing The Village at these and other events around town., • You have a high degree of emotional intelligence and excellent judgement.
