Additional Information The New Graduate Inpatient RN to ED Bridge Program will provide nurses with an interest in working in the Emergency Department an opportunity to begin their nursing career and grow their skill set on a Cardiac Telemetry unit on the Bridgeport campus. Upon completion of the nurse residency program on the Cardiac Telemetry Unit, and successfully demonstrating competence in practice for 12-18 months, the RN will then transfer to an 8-week accelerated transition program in the Emergency Department. The accelerated transition program cohorts will begin after 1 year depending on the timing of the accelerated training program. Shifts are assigned based on the needs of the hiring unit.
