Job Description Maintenance Supervisor and Facilities is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of buildings, equipment, and grounds, coordinating repairs, enforcing safety, managing a team, and ensuring facilities are functional and compliant. Expected Working Hours This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. May work on weekend(s) and evenings. Essential Position Functions and Duties • Leadership: Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to personnel. Foster a collaborative, solution-driven team environment., • Team Oversight: Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of maintenance and repair activities., • Maintenance Management: Support preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshoot equipment issues, and assist in implementing improvements for reliability., • Policy Management: Adhere to established company policies, procedures, terms and conditions and regulations that affect maintenance procedures and policies. Establish and implement methods and best practices related to maintenance activities which meet company policies such as The Good Manufacturing Policies and other policies, procedures and goals., • Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, GMPs, and OSHA regulations., • Collaboration: Work closely with the Maintenance Manager and other departments to ensure seamless operations and optimal machinery performance. Key Responsibilities: Supervision and Leadership: * • Supervises and coordinates the work of maintenance personnel and contractors., • Hires, trains, and evaluates maintenance staff., • Manages work schedules, assigns tasks, and monitors performance., • Oversees the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of equipment and buildings., • Identifies and addresses maintenance needs, both preventative and reactive., • Develops and implements maintenance schedules and procedures., • Ensures a safe and effective working environment., • Implements and enforces safety protocols and procedures., • Conducts regular safety inspections and audits., • Orders tools, supplies, and equipment., • Communicates effectively with staff, management, and other departments., • Coordinates with contractors and vendors., • May be responsible for facility maintenance tasks., • May assist with minor repairs or maintenance tasks., • May be involved in planning and coordinating major projects or renovations. Work Environment and Physical Demands Work Environment This job operates in a manufacturing environment. Exposure to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. Occasional exposure to fumes, heat and vibration. Constant and moderate exposure to noise levels from machinery. Use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk and hear. This is not a sedentary role. Required to bend, stoop or stand on a stool as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Routine walks within plant is required. Proper personal protective equipment will be required and some offered from Company i.e. slip resistance shoes, gloves, hearing protection, etc. You must wear safety boots. Physical involvement may be required when items need to shift around, up to 30-50 pounds. Required Qualifications and Competencies • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or associate degree preferred., • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance role, with 1+ years in a supervisory or leadership position., • Strong knowledge of electrical systems (120V, 208/220V, 480V), pneumatics, hydraulics, and automated equipment., • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members., • Effective communication skills, bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)., • Experience in food production or GMP environments is preferred., • Industrial: 3-phase power, PLC’s, VFD’s, HMI’s, controls, sensors, motor, and circuitry., • Skills: Reading comprehension, active listening, speaking, business writing, problem solving, coordination, service orientation, multitasking, detail oriented Company DescriptionOver 60 years of fine food, products and service.
