What You Will Be Doing In this position, you will be adhering to the fidelity of evidence-based, child-focused model, and agency protocol and structure, the Youth Connections Manager is responsible for managing a team of Youth Connections Advocates ensuring the delivery of program services within Colorado to connect youth who are waiting for permanent homes with families who wish to adopt by implementing and coordinating effective recruitment, matching and support services. The Youth Connections Manager will meet with county partners to oversee the implementation of the model and navigate challenges. At times, the individual may also provide wrap around services and/or resources for families to aid in the delivery of program services for the Organization. Who We Are Seeking Essential Duties and Responsibilities 40% Program Management • Responsible for ongoing supervision of Youth Connection Advocates to ensure fidelity to the child-focused recruitment, • Manage workflow of the Youth Connection Advocates, including ensuring each recruiter maintains 12-15 active cases., • Support the advocate's child-focused recruitment efforts to achieve legal permanency for all youth served within the program via guardianship, reinstatement of parental rights, permanent custody or adoption. Ensures best practices in compliance with state policies and procedures., • Monitor recruitment progress for youth served by conducting weekly or bi-monthly supervision with the Youth Connection Advocates and participating in internal and external meetings, as set forth by the program or demands of the, • Meet program outcomes and benchmarks as mutually established each contract year. Reviews outcomes with direct reports on a minimum of a quarterly, • Assist department leaders with operational and management responsibilities of contract deliverables. 20% Meetings & Trainings • Participate in regular meetings with DTFA Staff to monitor compliance with agency policies and procedures, Wendy's Wonderful Kids (WWK) agreement and YCA job responsibilities to promote the well-being, safety and permanency of the youth in the program., • Attend educational opportunities provided by the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption (DTFA) including, but not limited to classroom training, online modules, database training, webinars, and the WWK Summit hosted by, • In partnership with Program Director, YCM will be responsible for hiring, training, promoting, discharging, and evaluating Youth Connections Advocates., • Liaises with the custodial Child Welfare agencies on a regular basis to review cases and program compliance with state and county regulations. 20% Data Entry, Reporting, Oversight and Management • Regularly monitor direct reports and ensure they are providing necessary, timely, accurate and complete information, including monthly data, case notes and reports regarding assigned cases, according to agency and contract requirements., • Review direct reports' monthly data submission in databases prior to approving the data; supervisor approvals are due the 15th of every month., • Review adoption finalization reports within databases for, • Oversee the direct reports' annual and semi-annual, • Accurately, and timely submit reports for the, • Submit timely expense, mileage and credit card reports, as 10% Program Development • Represent the program and mission of the organization in a positive manner in the Interact cooperatively and constructively with all community providers, philanthropic supporters, state and county partners, and the public., • Build relationships with community resources including but not limited to state and county agencies, and non-profit organizations to promote organizational services and learn about gaps in the community for potential program., • 10% other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; coaching, addressing performance issues and complaints and resolving issues. Monitor and evaluate the performance of program staff, recommending and implementing personnel actions, such as promotions and dismissals., • Oversee, manage and provide guidance to program staff in the planning, coordination, and execution of program activities to ensure deliverables are met in designated programs and geographic areas, including adherence to agency protocol and structure, as well as the fidelity of evidence-based models, when applicable., • Collaborate with department leaders, as needed, to evaluate outcomes and impact of program services, identify areas of adjustment, develop program strategies, program planning, develop/expand the program and track program budgets. FISCAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Monitors and reviews spending to ensure adherence to budget to assigned, • Ensures necessary and accurate information is provided for invoices and other billing and contractual processes within established deadlines., • Ensures necessary and accurate information is provided for timesheets, credit card statements, expenses, and other employee financial documents within established MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's degree or higher in a social work, psychology, human development, or human services related field., • 5+ years of experience working within adoption, child welfare or related, • Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as, • Up to 15% travel, • Must have dependable car and be insurable as a driver on the auto liability policy of Raise the Future. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Master's degree in social work, psychology, human development, or human services related field., • Experience in working with children and/or youth with trauma, • Located in Colorado, • Bilingual in Spanish KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES • Knowledge of issues surrounding foster care, adoption, trauma, medical and developmental needs., • Demonstrated effective organization, • Ability to work autonomously as, • Demonstrated ability to effectively build rapport with families and, • Demonstrated knowledge of trauma and the impact of trauma on child development, behaviors, and attachment., • Demonstrated knowledge of adoption issues and, • Understanding of the child welfare, • Ability to demonstrate cultural, • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, the internet, Zoom and various database applications., • Leadership/Ownership: Demonstrates ability to create and communicate a vision and plan, accept ownership, take initiative, and assume Develops solutions and ideas that add value. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This position works primarily in a typical office environment, mostly indoor office environment with windows, with office equipment noise and may include frequent interruptions. These job duties may be performed in a work from home setting. This position also may be required to attend meetings with clients, and stakeholders in other settings outside the office. Considerable time is spent sitting at a desk using a computer terminal, and telephone, and attending meetings with others.
