Job Description The USEF Safe Sport Program Manager will work directly with the USEF Safe Sport Program Senior Manager to provide oversight and program support for USEF’s safeguarding efforts. Duties and Responsibilities: • Oversee all SafeSport Training and education completions among various constituent groups to ensure that comprehensive training is provided on safeguarding matters., • Perform all administrative functions to support background check programs including completions and requests for exemptions., • Assist with tracking systems for compliance., • Work directly with the U.S. Center for SafeSport to provide requested information regarding members on an expedited basis., • Serve as a primary contact point for complaints of misconduct., • Undertake inquiries into complaints including conducting interviews with all parties, gathering documentary evidence, and maintaining accurate records of interviews and status of inquiries, for matters assigned by Senior Program Manager., • Provide communication to all relevant parties on progress and status of complaints, investigations, procedures, and outcomes., • Maintain accurate records of complaints in department case management system., • Assist with continuous review, update, and development of all USEF Safe Sport policies and procedures. Work closely with various departments to ensure best practices are created, communicated, and consistently followed, as requested., • Collaborate and strategize with manager on key Safe Sport issues., • Assist with document production and gathering of relevant information for audits from regulatory bodies (USOPC and Center) and insurance carriers to ensure compliance with safety measures and policies., • Provide consultation to affiliates, members, trainers, coaches, athletes, volunteers, and parents on USEF Safe Sport related questions and concerns, as requested., • Work with management to collect and synthesize feedback on safe sport efforts, ongoing evaluations of programming, and propose and implement new ideas., • As requested by management, work directly with affiliates, members, trainers, coaches, athletes, parents, and volunteers to increase understanding of USEF Safe Sport, and serve as an information resource for USEF constituents., • Continually review U.S. Center for SafeSport ineligibility list and restriction list to ensure accurate and up-to-date listing on USEF website., • Perform other functions as necessary in the fulfillment of USEF’s continuing efforts to foster safe, healthy, and positive environments for its participants., • Perform other duties requested by Senior Program Manager., • Be available to work on special projects and assignments as time allows. Required, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Experience with conducting investigations including interviewing parties, collecting documentary evidence, and assimilating information obtained., • Experience interacting with individuals in high stress situations, knowledge of trauma informed response preferred., • Strong verbal and written communication skills., • Ability to be kind and professional in sensitive situations., • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information about victims of abuse., • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, including accurate data entry., • Must pass USEF background screen., • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint., • Extended hours of availability including evenings and weekends. Education and Experience: • High School diploma or equivalent., • Experience in legal, social services, law enforcement, case management, or related field., • Some college preferred. Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer., • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
