Job Description The American Liver Foundation (ALF) is the nation's leading non-profit organization dedicated to liver health and disease prevention. ALF promotes education, advocacy, support services and research for the prevention, treatment and cure of liver disease. PRIMARY FUNCTION/PURPOSE: ALF is looking for a detail-oriented individual to help us build community engagement and cultivation via thanking and acknowledging our donors. This role is also responsible for handling and coding donations from multiple platforms and maintaining donor records. The ideal candidate will have some administrative experience and knowledge of simple database searches. There will be 20 hours of work every week. This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in the non-profit sector. This opportunity is only in-person at our office located in Fairfield, NJ and will be required to work on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. This position reports to Chief Operating Officer. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Manage theendtoendproduction of donor gift acknowledgements, including wire transfers, pledge reminders, and related correspondence; oversee the proofing, printing, and processing of acknowledgement letters and envelopes; and review online databases to verify anddetermineaccurateaddresses for donor and family notifications., • Distribute donation information to theappropriate internalstaff across the organization., • On an as needed basis, review the physical mail received at the office,code revenue received and scan accompanying checksalong with thedonorletters., • Generate and reconcile month-end donation reports from third-party platforms (e.g., Benevity,FrontDoor,YourCause), code the donations, and share reports with relevant staff., • With direction from the Controller, code and process month-end financial files from Summa, TD Bank wires, and manual credit card transactions., • Maintainaccuratedocumentation of task completion on the month-end reporting form.
