Job Description The Manager is a highly visible, floor-oriented leadership position responsible for supporting the Beverage Manager in the execution and daily operations of all beverage programs, including wine, spirits, beer, and non-alcoholic offerings for Cattlemen’s Steakhouse and Cattlemen’s Club. This role is actively engaged in service, leading beverage operations on the floor during assigned shifts while ensuring exceptional execution, hospitality, and guest satisfaction. This position plays a critical role in driving service standards during live service, supporting front-of-house teams, and maintaining consistent execution of corporate beverage programs. Responsibilities include assisting with ordering and receiving, maintaining inventory controls, ensuring compliance with standards, and providing real-time leadership and problem- solving during service, including opening and closing shifts. The Manager is expected to work alongside service staff on the floor, supporting beverage service, engaging with guests and members, and reinforcing service expectations through example. This role requires the ability to manage high-volume, high-touch service environments while maintaining composure, professionalism, and attention to detail. The level of service must be consistent with established location-specific standards as described in the Employee Handbooks. The Manager must confidently provide guests and members with accurate information regarding beverage offerings, menus, and restaurant operations. Essential hospitality standards must be demonstrated at all times, including enthusiastically recognizing guests, maintaining eye contact, smiling, speaking first, and engaging in polished, professional conversation. This position requires flexibility and availability to actively work floor shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and closing shifts. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily while remaining present and engaged on the floor. Primary Responsibilities • Maintain inventory accuracy, par levels, and cost controls, • Verify invoice accuracy and assist with beverage reporting and reconciliation, • Ensure compliance with all company policies, TABC regulations, and safety standards, • Assist with menu implementation, product rollouts, and beverage promotions, • Support wine, spirits, beer, and cocktail service during peak service periods as needed, • Assist with maintaining vendor relationships Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Applicants for this position must meet the following minimum requirements: • Represent Cattlemen’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence, • 2–3 years of fine dining or high-volume upscale restaurant experience, • Proven ability to lead from the floor in a service-driven environment, • Strong working knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, and cocktails, • CMS Level 1 or higher preferred, • Food Handlers Card, • TABC Card, • Commitment to Steps of Service and luxury hospitality standards, • Knowledge of AAA Star Rating expectations, • Live our “Show Ready” philosophy, • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, • Ability to utilize management systems and tools, • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through, • Business awareness and cost-control mindset, • Passion for hospitality, food, and beverage, • College degree or equivalent preferred, • CPR Certified Physical & Operational Requirements • Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 lbs independently and safely, • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps, • Constant computer and/or POS usage, • Frequent flexing and rotation of wrists and spine, • Constant reaching, turning, and precision work employment policies.
