Job Description Law Weapons, a small firearms manufacturer in Aurora, IL. We build custom firearms for law enforcement and responsible citizens, do gunsmithing, and run job-shop work for other firearms companies. It's a hands-on shop — no cubicles, no committees, no slide decks. You'll work directly with me and see your parts go from CAD to chip to finished product the same week. I'm hiring because we're growing and I need someone who can actually own parts start-to-finish, not a button-pusher. The Job You'll be the person who takes a part from design through finished, in-spec product on our Haas machines. That means CAD work in Fusion 360 and SolidWorks, CAM programming, building fixtures, setting up jobs, running first articles, and holding tight tolerances. You'll also help me improve the shop as we scale — better tooling library, better fixturing standards, better processes. This is real work, not a checklist. If you like solving problems on your feet and seeing the parts you programmed walk out the door, you'll like it here. What You'll Actually Do • Design and revise parts in Fusion 360 and SolidWorks, • Program toolpaths (CAM) for our Haas mills and lathes, • Set up jobs, build fixtures, run first articles, • Hold tight tolerances unsupervised, • Work on custom builds, gunsmithing jobs, and contract work, • Help me improve how the shop runs What I Need You to Have • 3+ years hands-on programming and running Haas CNC machines (mills and/or lathes), • 3+ years of real CAD/CAM experience in Fusion 360, • Strong G-code, fixturing, and tooling chops, • Ability to read prints and hold tight tolerances without me hovering over you, • US person (ITAR) — required for firearms work, no exceptions, • Valid Illinois FOID card, or able to get one, • 21 or older Nice to Have (Not Required) • Firearms-industry experience — AR platform, pistols, suppressors, custom builds, • Gunsmithing background, • 4th- or 5th-axis experience, • Experience standing up tooling/fixturing standards in a small shop What This Job Is Not • Not a button-pushing role, • Not for someone who needs constant supervision Email: cnc@lawweapons.org Tell me: • What Haas models you've run, • A part you're proud of and why, • When you can start If you've got photos of parts or fixtures you've built, bring them to the interview. That tells me more than a resume. Benefits: • Employee discount, • Flexible schedule, • Paid Holidays, • Ammo Perks / Employee Ammo Discount Application Question(s): • How many years of hands-on experience do you have programming and operating Haas CNC machines?, • Do you have at least 3 years of experience using both Fusion 360, • Do you have a valid Illinois FOID card., • Are you a US person (US citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual under ITAR)?, • Are you 21 years of age or older?, • Are you able to commute to Aurora, IL for an on-site, in-person job?Company DescriptionLaw Weapons Inc. is a small precision firearms manufacturer and CNC machine shop in Aurora, IL.
