Ability to read English and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence in English. Ability to speak effectively to children, parents, and school officials. Must attend a mandatory School Crossing Guard class. Tools and Equipment Needed Stop Paddle, Reflective Vest, Whistle with optional equipment such as cell phone, rain gear, reflective gloves, reflective cap, first aid equipment, proper warm safe winter gear, and traffic cones.
