POSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: The Plant Manager is responsible for leading all operational and financial activities and directly interacting and collaborating with all internal/external stakeholders and support departments. The Plant Manager will develop and execute long and short-term initiatives aligned to our broader business goals as an innovative label solutions partner. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Ensure compliance and engagement with all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures., • Actively lead in EHS, training, safety observations, hazard identification, and safety committees, • Foster, develop, and implement Continuous Improvement (CI) activities through all facets of the business, • Full Profit & Loss (P&L) statement responsibility, • Strategic planning including capital investments, budgets, staffing, and capacity. Additional support to Sales, Estimating, and R&D on strategic planning, • Lead daily production activities by monitoring performance against targets and provide support in attaining levels of expected performance, • Lead and develop leaders to achieve established goals of safety, quality, service, production, and cost, • Ensure the plant has the necessary tools and training to successfully and efficiently meet their goals, • Provide direction and guidance to the team through coaching and counseling; motivate, empower, develop and recognize individual and team achievements, • Develop & implement best in class training programs, • Support development and roll out of Standard Work including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions (WI), One Point Lessons, (OPL) and Training Documentation, • Works closely with Planning, Quality, HR, Logistics, Engineering, Maintenance, and EHS to ensure proper production planning and utilization of resources on the right priorities to meet customer requirements, • Reviews daily production schedule to plan work and coworker’s assignments. Rebalance based on utilization of assets and resources., • Provides proactive leadership, actions, and results on safety, quality, and CI topics, • Develop and implement workflow practices & policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising safety or product quality, • Lead the CI process utilizing operational tool sets (i.e Lean, Six Sigma, 6S, TPS, TPM.) to provide high levels of performance, • Lead coworkers in performing operations according to sound operating principles and company policies and procedures, • Provides support regarding the manufacturing process and makes recommendations regarding safety, quality, tools, equipment, costs/expenses, • Analyzes, supports, and presents results on operational and financial business goals and outcomes, • Recruit, hire, train, motivate, and develop coworkers in line with our core values and company policies and practices., • Support our commercial teams on customer related matters, • Maintains a high standard of professional knowledge, ethics, and practices when dealing with customers, suppliers, peers, coworkers, and leadership, • Familiar with CI, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and other current manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures, • Effective verbal and written communication skills including ability to effectively train and develop others, • Ability to coordinate plant activities and create material, manufacturing and communication flow throughout the facility, • Must demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, and team building skills across direct reports as well as support departments, • Strong business acumen (leadership principles, strategic planning, critical thinking, budgeting, resource allocation, human resources, etc.), • Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Operations or relevant experience, • Ability to lift products up to 50 lbs., • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time Iconex enthusiastically engages with our communities of employees and customers every day.
