Job Description Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to serve as a subject matter expert in electrical systems, automated equipment, and utilities maintenance. This role supports 24x7 manufacturing operations at the Davie site, ensuring reliable performance of production equipment and facility utilities. Key Responsibilities • Perform electrical installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance across systems (24V–480V)., • Troubleshoot and maintain automated equipment, including PLC programming and AI technologies., • Execute planned maintenance and corrective work orders for utilities (AHUs, boilers, chillers, compressors, etc.)., • Support equipment, utilities, and process troubleshooting and repairs., • Manage small projects related to new equipment, upgrades, facility modifications, and utility infrastructure., • Update technical documents, SOPs, and change controls., • Provide ongoing support to maintenance staff, coaching on failure modes and technical solutions., • Implement safe work practices, hazard analyses, and risk assessments to ensure workplace safety., • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement automation strategies. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience, or Associate degree with 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or related manufacturing., • 1–3 years of automation experience., • Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)., • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and utilities., • Ability to troubleshoot SCADA systems, interpret blueprints, and communicate clearly. Preferred Qualifications • GMP experience (pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices, vitamins, or packaging)., • Six Sigma Green Belt certification., • Operational Excellence experience., • Compliance documentation experience., • Project management background. Certifications • PLC certification or equivalent. Screenings • Background check., • 11-panel drug test including fentanyl., • Medical screenings: vision, audiogram, spirometry, lifting assessment (35 lbs). Physical Requirements • Constant standing and walking., • Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and reaching., • Occasional sitting, climbing, crawling, pushing/pulling, and lifting (up to 50 lbs with assistance)., • Repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and fingers., • Visual acuity for machine operation, computer work, and inspections. Working Environment • Constant exposure to moving mechanical parts and equipment., • Frequent exposure to noise, fumes, dust, gases, and vibrations., • Occasional exposure to wet conditions., • Use of PPE (safety glasses, respirator, hearing protection, gloves, etc.) as required.
