Pay: $18.00- $23.00 Hourly Summary: The Loader Operator is responsible for the operation of front-end loader to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage areas, to feed conveyors, hoppers and to load trucks. • Safe operation of heavy machinery, • Verify amounts of aggregate in storage bins and fills hoppers to ensure adequate quantity and quality of raw materials is maintained, • Perform routine maintenance on loaders, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning, • Participate in making sure the quality and quantity of raw materials meet established standards, • Works toward improvement of the assigned plant and surrounding area, • Follow established procedures to ensure that the plant for which he/she is working is in compliance with state, federal, and local regulations and requirements, • Participate in on-going minor maintenance and visual evaluations of plant and equipment, • Confer with plant superintendent, batch person, and other personnel to resolve problems, provide immediate feedback, and may recommend solutions to improve performance Education/Specialized Knowledge/Professional Certifications: Regularly required to talk or hear; frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to stand and move about job sites with uneven and unpaved ground while managing concrete delivery onsite. Must be able to frequently bend in order to obtain samples from stockpiles or ground, climb ladders with buckets of admixtures, and push wheelbarrows of concrete. Must be able to operate buttons, levers, and other controls located on various equipment. Must be able to work long and flexible hours as necessary. Must be able to maneuver in and around our plants, yards and jobsites as necessary. Must be able to work in confined space.
