Job DescriptionSalary: $24.04/Hourly POSITION: Youth Services Site Coordinator REPORTS TO: Director of Youth Services POSITION TYPE: Full Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt PAY RATE: $50,000/Annually - $24.04/Hourly LAST UPDATE: 05/8/2025 This is a grant funded position renewed annually and subject to availability of funds. Our free Afterschool Program at Jose Marti Park and Citrus Grove Elementary serves over 200 children, ages 6-12, from families with limited financial means. With measurable outcomes in reading, literacy, and physical fitness, we help children grow academically, socially, and personally. POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Director of Youth Services, the Youth Services Site Coordinator is responsible for providing day-to-day supervision and oversight of program at assigned site (s). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE: • Serves as primary point of contact for parents and families., • Serves as custodian of all program records for assigned program site (s)., • Provides direct supervision of instructional staff., • Oversees registration of new program participants., • Maintains accurate and timely attendance records for all program participants., • Inputs program data and ensures program data is accurate (Casebook and Trust Central)., • Oversees student arrival and dismissal process and ensures program participants are signed out by a parent or authorized adult., • Performs informal quality control classroom observations to ensure proper classroom management., • Ensures compliance with all health and safety protocols., • Documents all accidents, injuries, incidents, complaints, and problems., • Communicates concerns or incidents to immediate supervisor., • Provide input on instructional materials and strategies for the literacy program, • Collaborates with supervisor and afterschool counselors in scheduling literacy instruction for multiple grade levels in accordance with funder contractual obligations, • Collaborates with Curriculum Specialist to create lesson plans for literacy instruction, • Provides literacy instruction to students in the afterschool program in grades 1st through 5th, • Conducts student assessments (Oral Reading Fluency ORF for grades 1-3 and MAZE for grades 4-5) to gauge progress and determine alignment with expected program outcomes, • Serves as back up counselor when needed., • Excellent interpersonal skills., • Ability to communicate with parents in English and Spanish., • Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving abilities., • Excellent oral and written communication skills., • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines., • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-energy environment., • Energetic team player who works well in collaborative situations., • Strong orientation to customer service. Must have an associate degree (bachelors degree preferred) in education or related field and have at least 3 years of literacy instruction/small group experience with children between the ages of 4 - 18. Must: • Agree to a fingerprinting and a Level 2 background check, • Submit to random drug testing as determined by Amigos For Kids personnel policies and procedures, • Agree to attend staff development and training, • Sign an Affidavit of Good Moral Character, • Have NEVER been convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor related to abuse, neglect, exploitation, or other barrier crimes as listed on the Sworn Disclosure Statement of the Criminal Record Check PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Ability to frequently stand, walk, stoop, sit, crouch, bend, speak, and hear., • Ability to engage in physical activity with members without limitation., • This position requires a person who can work with many distractions, interruptions and still accomplish their objectives and meet established deadlines, • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate Jose Marti Park (351 SW 4th Avenue, Miami, FL 33130); or Citrus Grove Elementary School (2153 NW 3rd St, Miami, FL 33125) Monday Friday 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with occasional weekend assignments BENEFITS: In addition to meaningful work, Amigos For Kids offers an outstanding benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off (vacation, holidays, float days), and more!
