Le Meraviglie is a studio based in Brooklyn Heights that offers a host of art and sensory based classes for toddlers and children. During the summer months, Le Meraviglie runs an Art Camp for children ages 5-11. A typical day at Le Meraviglie includes outdoor art activities, story time, workshops, group activities, and a cooking workshop on Fridays. Le Meraviglie introduces children to different artists and art forms, including drawing, painting, collage, music, dance, and more. Field trips to the park, outdoor adventures, and collaborative art projects add excitement and variety to each day. Our camp schedule runs Monday through Friday, from late June 16 through September 5th. All camp staff will join for an orientation day in early June. Hours: 8am - 6pm, with a paid 45 minute break CAMP LEADER POSITION: We are looking for an experienced Camp Leader with 1-2 years experience running a successful summer camp program. We will also consider candidates who have 3-5 years proven experience managing youth programs in school or community-based settings. The Camp Leader will work in partnership with the owner of Le Meraviglie to manage the overall operation of the camp including outreach/intake, programming, and scheduling, as well as supervising all counselors and campers. SAGE is the world’s largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer or questioning (LGBTQ+) older adults. Founded in 1978 and headquartered in New York City, SAGE is a national organization that offers supportive services and consumer resources for LGBTQ+ older adults and their caregivers, advocates for public policy changes that address the needs of LGBTQ+ older people, and provides cultural competency training for aging providers and LGBTQ+ organizations, largely through its National Resource Center on LGBTQ+ Aging and its growing social enterprise SAGECare. SAGE’s current Strategic Plan emphasizes scaling its impact on behalf of LGBTQ+ older people and diversifying through shifts in its organizational structure and decentralization of organizational leadership and decision-making. One such organizational change is the creation of a new division called SAGEServes, housing the agency’s New York service programs and older adult centers. SAGEServes includes SAGE's existing service programs in New York city; the four older adult centers; and SAGE’s replicated direct service programs in other parts of the country. The new division works in tandem with the national initiative programs that SAGE offers consumers and providers, as well as a new social enterprises division that will house new ventures and opportunities for profit-generating services for the organization. Summary: The Director of Care Management Services is accountable for all aspects of SAGE’s Care Management programming throughout New York City, including contract management and oversight and supervision of 12 department staff. The position directly supervises the Assistant Director of Care Management Services, the Assistant Director of Caregiving, the Wellness Counselor, and the Care Management Coordinator, while providing overall strategic oversight and guidance to all of Care Management Services. All positions report to the Program Director and are part-time. All positions are open at both elementary school and middle school sites. Group Leader and counselors work Monday to Friday 2:30 to 5:40p.m. Education Specialist will work 10-14 hours a week between the hours of 3p.m. and 5:30p.m. Group Leaders are responsible for the overall leadership, planning and implementation of after school program activities, including integrated educational projects, recreation, arts & crafts and group building activities.
