Art Therapist Inspiritus is seeking a professional, compassionate, and experienced Art Therapist to lead and coordinate our therapy and healing services. This role will utilize art-based and psychotherapeutic techniques to support youth, individuals, seniors and families in low-income communities in improving their physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being. The Art Therapist will be responsible for both direct service delivery and program coordination. This includes planning and facilitating individual and group therapy sessions and evaluating client progress. The Art Therapist will also support program development and expansion initiatives as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, youth, and adults in multicultural and low-income settings, and demonstrate strong skills in communication, counseling, program management, and evaluation. A deep understanding of visual art, along with a commitment to staying current with best practices and emerging trends in art therapy, is essential. Position Details: • Full Time Exempt, • Department - TN Empowerment Programs, • Education Level - Masters degree MAAT, ATR-P, LPC-CANDIDATE, • Reports to Middle TN Empowerment Program Director, • Located in Nashville TN, • Mostly on-site required, Travel (0 - 50%), • Monday through Friday; 8:30AM - 5:00PM, • Annual Compensation $52,000-$59,000 Responsibilities:, • Develop, coordinate, and facilitate individual and group art therapy sessions for youth, seniors, individuals, and families, • Utilize art-based and psychotherapeutic techniques to support clients' emotional, cognitive, and physical well-being, • Document, and evaluate client behaviors, progress, and outcomes during therapy sessions, • Develop, implement, and track program evaluations; analyze data and report on overall program effectiveness, • Promote Therapeutic Programs and create partnerships with organizations, government entities, and schools to foster partnerships, • Lead Thrive Studio volunteer engagement, • Manage Art Therapy supplies, materials, equipment and track inventory, • Coordinate and facilitate a weekly senior women's program, including group scheduling, • Support program development and expansion initiatives as needed, • Develop and train staff and volunteers as needed, • Assist with managing disruptions as needed, • May serve as a master trainer for crisis intervention, multicultural mental health counseling and trauma-informed care training, • Maintain accurate, current, and complete client records according to established timelines, policies, procedures, funding sources, grants, and/or contracts., • Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions., • Foster a safe and inclusive environment for participants., • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor. Qualifications:, • Master of Arts in Art Therapy, Registered Art Therapist, • Bachelor's degree in human services field, • Experience dealing with social issues impacting consumers and the community., • Ability and desire to work within a team and independently., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., • Must have the ability to communicate with all people in a culturally competent manner., • Must be sensitive to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics., • Ability to take initiative and coordinate logistics., • Ability to use critical thinking skills and make appropriate, difficult decisions., • Ability to forge mutually respectful partnerships with people served and their families., • Must be computer literate. Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel., • Must have personal vehicle, valid Tennessee Driver's License, good driving record, and appropriate automobile insurance. Physical Demands: Regularly required to talk and hear. Required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools and controls: and reach with hands and arms. Required to operate personal vehicle. Employees frequently lift and or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
