Job Title & Position Information Job Title: Business Development Assistant Reports To: Andres Esquivel, Controller Employment Type: Regular Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., with flexibility as required Compensation: 2. Position Summary The Business Development Assistant supports ACG’s growth by assisting with research, marketing, CRM management, relationship development, and internal coordination across departments. This role provides essential support to the Business Development Team, leadership, partners, and internal staff to strengthen ACG’s market presence and expand opportunities across federal, state, local, and commercial sectors. The ideal candidate is organized, resourceful, creative, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‐paced environment. This position requires strong communication skills, marketing awareness, graphic design capability, and disciplined follow‐through. 2.1 Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) PTO is accrued every pay period and increases with your tenure at the company. Salaried Employees: • 90 days – 1 year: 10 paid days (2 weeks) + 5 additional unpaid days, • 1 – 5 years: 15 paid days (3 weeks) + 5 additional unpaid days, • 6 – 10 years: 20 paid days (4 weeks) + 5 additional unpaid days, • 90 days – 1 year: 5 paid days (1 week) + 5 additional unpaid days, • 1 – 10 years: 10 paid days (2 weeks) + 5 additional unpaid days Employees receive 7 full paid holidays each year: • New Year’s Day, • Memorial Day, • Independence Day, • Labor Day, • Thanksgiving Day, • Christmas Day, • Christmas Eve (half day), • Health, Dental, and Vision plans available to all eligible employees. 3. Core Responsibilities 3.1 Business Development Support & Opportunity Research• Conduct research on companies, industries, competitors, and opportunities to support capture planning and proposals. • Maintain accurate, up‐to‐date information in the CRM system (Odoo)., • Support creation, organization, and updates of capability statements, brochures, and marketing assets., • Use design tools such as Canva, Adobe Suite, or other platforms to ensure brand consistency., • Assist in project planning and tracking to ensure timely execution., • Support events, conferences, documentation needs, and cross‐department initiatives., • Act as liaison between partners and internal teams to support ongoing efforts., • Monitor partnership activity, identify improvement areas, and provide recommendations., • Prepare research summaries, insights, and recommendations for leadership., • Align BD activities with ACG’s long‐term mission, goals, and expansion plans. 4. Short‐Term Expectations (First 30 Days)• Learn ACG BD workflows, documentation standards, and CRM (Odoo) usage. • Demonstrate strong organization, follow‐through, and accuracy in assigned tasks., • Support marketing updates, document formatting, and CRM recordkeeping., • Begin assisting with research, meeting coordination, and partner communication., • Maintain consistent responsiveness and proactive communication with the BD Team and leadership. 5. Long‐Term Plan & Growth Objectives• Become independently productive in managing BD documentation, CRM data, and marketing assets. • Strengthen design capability and contribute consistently to marketing improvements., • Build reliable systems for partner tracking, opportunity research, and workflow coordination., • Support high‐quality proposal preparation and long‐term BD initiatives., • Contribute to ACG’s strategic growth through consistent execution, research, and relationship management. 6. Weekly & Monthly Deliverables Plan6.1 Daily & Weekly Deliverables (Ongoing)• Daily: Update CRM records, tasks, activities, and communications. • Daily: Respond to requests from BD Team, leadership, or partners., • Weekly: Provide status updates, priorities, upcoming deadlines, and blockers., • Weekly: Maintain marketing files, design updates, and document repositories., • Monthly assessment of BD activity metrics (meetings, outreach, opportunities added, updates)., • Monthly update of marketing assets, partnership records, and tracking tools., • Monthly continuous‐improvement proposal for BD processes, CRM efficiency, or marketing materials. 7. Work Expectations & Availability• Must ask clarifying questions when instructions or requirements are unclear—no assumptions. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‐paced environment., • Must maintain professionalism and strong communication across departments and partners., • Additional hours may be required during events, proposal periods, or time‐critical initiatives. 8. QualificationsRequired• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities., • Resourceful problem‐solver with proactive support capabilities., • Strong administrative background and attention to detail., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)., • Experience using or maintaining CRM systems (Odoo preferred). Experience supporting a federal, state, or local contractor. • Familiarity with government contracting terminology, solicitation structures, and capability statements. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. • Full dexterity of hands and fingers., • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods. 9. Performance Review & Continuation of Engagement This consulting engagement is performance‐based. Continuation of work, expansion of responsibilities, compensation changes, and any future discretionary immigration support (including work visa sponsorship) are contingent upon sustained performance, measurable deliverables, and business needs. The consultant will be evaluated bi‐weekly based on the daily and weekly deliverables and KPI expectations described above.
