Sr Manager, Strategic Initiatives 📍 Location: Remote 🕒 Full-Time | Exempt The Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives is a key execution and leadership role within Morrison Healthcare’s Culinary Strategy & Innovation team. This position is responsible for leading high-impact initiatives that support innovation, internal alignment, and strong field execution across the organization. This is not a traditional project manager role focused solely on timelines and task tracking. It is designed for a hands-on operator who can manage ambiguity, connect strategy to execution, and drive progress across teams. In this role, you’ll partner closely with senior leaders, national teams, and field operators to ensure initiatives are clearly communicated, well executed, and successfully adopted—delivering meaningful business outcomes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at both the strategic and execution level, thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and takes pride in owning work from idea through delivery. This is a remote role, with travel required as needed to support key initiatives, field engagement, meetings, and events. Translate strategic direction into clear plans with defined milestones, ownership, and success measures. Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, maintaining focus on outcomes, follow-through, and delivery. Field Engagement & Adoption: Partner directly with field leaders and operators to ensure initiatives are grounded in operational reality. Support rollout and adoption through strong coordination, communication, and change management. Monitor progress and adoption, identifying gaps and adjusting approaches as needed. Special Projects & Events: Lead special projects and high-visibility events that require strong coordination and end-to-end execution. Serve as a go-to resource for complex or time-sensitive initiatives requiring structure and follow-through. People Leadership & Team Development: Lead and develop team members, with responsibility for performance, growth, and delivery. Foster a high-performing, accountable team environment that balances structure with flexibility. Allocate work across team members and partner groups to ensure priorities are met and work moves forward efficiently. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Operational Excellence: Partner with cross-functional teams across operations, culinary, marketing, technology, and analytics. Act as a connector between national teams and field operations. Identify opportunities to improve workflows, tools, and ways of working to strengthen execution and consistency. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Communications, or a related field. 7+ years of experience leading complex initiatives, projects, or programs. Demonstrated success turning strategy into execution and delivering measurable outcomes. Proven experience leading and developing people. Strong operational mindset with the ability to manage ambiguity and competing priorities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications: Compass Group experience, particularly in operational or field-based roles. Field operations experience with a strong understanding of frontline realities. Experience working in matrixed, cross-functional environments. Background in change management, internal communications, or large-scale initiative rollout. Experience leveraging technology, data, or tools to support execution and adoption.
