Job DescriptionDescription: Join McAlister Institute, a 48-year beacon in San Diego's Recovery Community. Position Overview: The Medicated Assisted Treatment (MAT) Coordinator will report directly to the Program Manager and play a critical role in providing supportive services to MAT and Withdrawal Management (WM) clients. This position focuses on care coordination, assisting clients in accessing essential housing, medical, educational, and community services while ensuring comprehensive integration of substance use disorder (SUD) care. Benefits for YOU: • 13 paid annual holidays, including your birthday; 12 paid vacation days, paid sick leave, • Public Service Loan Forgiveness eligibility, • 403(b) Retirement Plan + up to 6% Employer Match, • Health Insurance available the first of the month following 30 days of employment (Sharp), • Uphold and promote the mission, philosophy, values, and direction of McAlister Institute., • Facilitate care coordination for MAT and WM services, including scheduling and coordinating client visits with onsite MAT providers, and ensuring communication with primary care physicians., • Ensure follow-up appointments and continuity of care for clients., • Provide comprehensive MAT education to clients, ensuring they understand treatment options, benefits, side effects, and potential risks., • Collect and report Quality Service Review (QSR) information related to MAT services., • Assist clients in applying for and maintaining health and public benefits such as Medi-Cal and housing assistance., • Link clients to community resources, including transportation, food assistance, legal aid, and job training., • Facilitate transitions in ASAM levels of care and coordinate necessary referrals and documentation., • Perform other assigned duties as needed. Requirements:, • Certified or Registered SUD Counselor (CAADE, CADTP, CCAPP, or equivalent required)., • Minimum of two years of behavioral health experience, with proven ability to work across multiple systems (Probation, CWS, DDC, criminal justice)., • Experience working with adult populations in a counseling or therapeutic setting., • Strong knowledge of and relationships with community resources., • Strong paperwork and computer skills, with exceptional written and verbal communication abilities., • Ability to work effectively in a team, with excellent time management and organizational skills., • Compliance with agency and contract training, public health, certification, and reporting requirements., • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred., • Ability to pass all pre-employment screening, including references, education verification, a criminal background check with at least one year clear of probation or parole, a drug test, and a negative TB test., • Must possess a valid and unrestricted California Driver's License, with a good driving record, free of any major infractions., • On-site position.
