Job DescriptionNow Hiring! Quality Assurance Technician Job Description The Quality Assurance Technician ensures compliance with food regulatory requirements, identifying and reporting any deficiencies or practices that could compromise food safety, quality, and defense. Responsibilities • Monitor production conditions, specifications, process controls, and tracking controls., • Maintain wash line concentrations., • Verify checks on production control forms and audit them to meet all program requirements., • Collect environmental swabs, air sampling dishes, and lab retain samples., • Monitor and manage all Critical Control Points (CCPs) online, taking corrective actions when necessary, and assist in root cause analysis and development of preventative action plans., • Check pH levels, temperature, and brix of each juice batch to ensure they meet product specifications., • Inspect and document Facility Operation Inspections and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)., • Perform Standard Sanitation Operational Procedures (SSOPs) verification and ATP swabs., • Track non-conforming products and their dispositions., • Conduct Pre-Operational inspection procedures of all production/bottling equipment and facility., • Calibrate equipment and make necessary adjustments., • Assist with testing food products to ensure compliance with standards and regulations., • Conduct inventory checks including ATP swabs, charts, and forms., • Ensure volumes, torques, and bottle weights are within product specifications., • Complete and enter all pallet tags and CCP forms for production and bottling into the database., • Record cycles and verify HPP settings and information., • Perform metal mesh and magnet inspections., • Verify production lot codes, labels, mold numbers, and packaging meet product specifications., • Perform lab duties as necessary., • Verify shipping and receiving processes., • Adhere to SOP, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP guidelines., • Proficient in Excel data entry., • Strong multitasking abilities., • Attention to detail., • Strong communication skills., • Knowledge of GMP and FDA standards., • 1-2 years of Quality Assurance experience preferred., • 1-2 years of food industry experience preferred., • Knowledge of food safety regulations is preferred., • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills; Spanish is a plus., • Strong leadership and computer skills., • Critical thinking skills., • Ability to work independently with moderate supervision., • Ability to meet deadlines, potentially requiring an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours. Work Environment All work is performed on the production floor, which may be wet or dry, with temperatures as low as 35°ree;F, similar to a cold room environment. Our team comprises 32 members in QA across the plant. Dress code adheres to SFQ/GMP standards, requiring no piercings and maintaining strict hygiene. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oceanside, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.50/hr.
