Position Summary Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Assistant is responsible for learning the different products and services Granite & Marble Works offers, completing price quotes, answering questions and ensuring error-free completion of a work order. Success in this position is dependent upon the Sales Assistants ability to maintain relationships, listen, and solve problems. The individual fulfilling this role will support and back up the Sales Manager and must also satisfy the Qualifications and be prepared to Make an Impact in accordance with the Sales Assistant job description. How Youll Make an Impact • Learn, understand and communicate various types of materials and the specific characteristics of each, • Become an expert on G&MW products, services and how G&MW will meet the needs of current and future customer, • Respond to customer phone and email inquiries professionally, quickly and without error, • Complete price quotes and other required documentation to initiate a sale, • Prompt and error-free completion of a work order with the internal and external customers in mind, • Ensure marketing collateral is replenished as needed, • Ensure stone gallery map and inventory price lists are up-to-date, • Share timely feedback/lessons learned to cognizant G&MW department leads for immediate resolution, • Ensure the retail spaces (sample room, showroom, kitchen) are tour ready, • Commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience, a quality work product and representing G&MW professionally to customers and the community at large, • Support and back up to the Sales Associate What You Must Bring to This Role • Demonstrated success rapidly building and maintaining relationships - required, • A history of excellence in active listening, identifying applications/solutions and a willingness to close - required, • Proven success working independently and with a team environment - required, • Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office, (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), • Demonstrated comfort learning new technologies and software packages - required, • Proven comfort handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining poise and patience - required, • Ability to discern patterns, colors, and textures - required, • History of applying construction and design understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or pictorial form - desired, • Comfort reading a tape measure, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals - required, • Valid drivers license free from traffic violations - required, • Commitment to operate safely and effectively - required, • A history of exceptional attention to detail and commitment to "doing things right the first time" - required Compensation and Benefits • Full time and part-time positions available.
