Job Description Senior Portfolio Research Analyst Position Overview The Kelton Financial Group is looking for a highly motivated extremely talented team player to join our investment team. We currently manage over $1B in assets and have a national presence with clients in 38 states. This position supports the firm advisors and staff in providing dedicated and personalized service to all our clients. The tasks required by this assignment will present exposure to the many aspects of the financial planning and investment advisory processes. There is a high level of commitment from the entire team to provide you with the mentoring required for your success in this position, but you must have the interpersonal skills, communication skills, analytical skills, self-motivation, and enthusiasm to excel. As a client service associate, you will be responsible for providing operational support to one or more financial advisors and the clients of the firm. Your responsibilities will include assisting clients, researching problems, processing account forms, maintaining account records, and preparing client correspondence and reports. You will be working in a fast paced, professional environment, while partnering and supporting the financial advisors to maintain and build new client relationships. Computer and technology skills are essential, with the ability to quickly learn new software. Key Areas of Responsibility Include but Are Not Limited To: · New account opening and ongoing maintenance, particularly various types of trust accounts · Assist with investment research and portfolio analysis · Ongoing service for existing clients, i.e. RMD distributions, IRA contributions, client website assistance · Work with clients on mortgages and securities backed loans · Understand and adopt the individualized and customized nature of our client relationships and service · Communicate, via email/mail/client portal, client forms/correspondence/reports as needed · Produce client and/or research reports as needed · Maintain records of interactions and tasks related to each client via entering notes into our client relationship management system · Document client meetings and correspondence in our CRM Key Qualifications: · B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited four-year university · 5+ years experience in related position · Excellent interpersonal skills · Strong communication skills - verbal and written · Creative, critical, and open-minded thinking · Excellent attention to detail and accuracy · Ability to identify, meet, and follow through with tasks and documentation · Independent, self-motivated, resourceful, problem solver · Goal-oriented team player with a willingness and generosity to do whatever needs to be done to accomplish the objective as a team effort · Able to perform and track multiple tasks efficiently · Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook required Benefits: · Competitive compensation and benefits · 401(k) plan · Health and dental insurance · Other types of insurance · Professional, career growth, team oriented, and enjoyable work environment Job Type: Full-time Benefits: • 401(k), • 401(k) matching, • Dental insurance, • Health insurance, • Health savings account, • Life insurance, • Paid time off, • Bonus opportunities
