Job Description Saunders Entertainment LLC. is looking for a full-time Transportation/Fleet Manager to join our team in Van Nuys, California! Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Operational Oversight • Lead and supervise transportation staff, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management., • Manage transportation operations for live events, including staffing, scheduling, and real-time adjustments., • Develop and maintain emergency response procedures for transportation-related incidents., • Ensure training in safe loading, vehicle inspections, and equipment handling in compliance with safety standards., • Oversee fleet operations to ensure vehicle readiness, safety, and operational reliability., • Manage vendor relationships for fleet services (maintenance, towing, rentals, parts)., • Monitor fleet performance metrics and implement improvements to reduce downtime and risk., • Ensure compliance with registrations, permits, inspections, and required documentation., • Coordinate preventative maintenance, repairs, and lifecycle planning in partnership with fleet and maintenance teams., • Supervise yard operations, vehicle staging, and loading/securement of equipment., • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state DOT regulations., • Maintain driver qualification files, inspection records, and audit-ready documentation., • Review inspections, violations, and incidents; implement corrective actions and training., • Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure accurate staging, loading, and dispatch., • Oversee shipment documentation, including bills of lading and manifests., • Manage third-party transportation vendors and ensure adherence to safety and service standards., • Monitor vendor performance and address issues as needed., • Support transportation-related permitting requirements, as applicable. Required Qualifications: Education/Experience * 7+ years of transportation/logistics experience in film, television, touring, or live events. * 3+ years in a supervisory or management role. Required Skills/Abilities * Strong working knowledge of federal and state DOT regulations and safety compliance. * Ability to pass random drug tests. * Advanced organizational, leadership, and communication skills. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Excel) and logistics/dispatch software. * Ability to make high-level decisions in time-sensitive, high-pressure environments. * Experience supporting large event logistics, preferred. * Demonstrated experience coordinating multi-vehicle, multi-location production transportation operations, preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations * Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record, preferred. * Forklift certification (or willingness to become certified upon hire), preferred. Work Environment and Physical Demands: * The work is typically performed in an office, warehouse, or onsite environment, with a moderate noise level. * Regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; talk; see; and/or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision. * May require standing for prolonged periods, walking, and working in warehouse and yard environments. * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. * Ability to enter/exit trucks and perform light physical tasks as required. * Visual acuity to read documents, labels, and shipment information. * Ability to use proper lifting procedures and techniques. * Ability to travel locally and occasionally out of state as needed.
