Detailed Responsibilities Receiving • Ensure inbound trailers have been safely secured per safety guidelines prior to unloading., • Unload pallets and stage in designated areas on dock for receiving and QA inspection., • Palletize all mixed products onto separate pallets to assist with accuracy of inspection and receipt., • Upon completion of receipt, scan pallets and ensure they have both QA sticker and Receiving License Plate and that the License Plate is fully completed. Haul those tagged pallets to the correct storage location., • If there are older pallets of like product in elevated storage locations, the operator must rotate that down into the selection position and place the newly received pallet in an elevated storage location as close to the selection bin as possible. This helps with inventory counting and item rotation for future shifts., • Keep the dock clear of debris by cleaning up while working. This precludes safety risks and food safety concerns., • Verify all products being issued to production teams against drop list, production sheet, or boxing call out to preclude introducing the wrong product into assembly or portioning., • Keep production drop zones stocked per guidelines communicated by lead/supervisor., • Keep drop zones clean, organized, and free of debris or broken pallets., • Ensure outbound trailer has been safely secured per safety guidelines and inspecting for debris, holes, pests, or temperature deviations prior to loading., • Identify pallets to be loaded from the applicable staging area., • Load pallets and complete load diagrams accurately., • Seal truck and turn load diagram in to lead/supervisor for driver pick up., • Remove the safety device once paperwork is turned in so the driver can hook up to the designated trailer upon arrival., • Keep the dock clear of debris by cleaning up while working. Job Description Job Summary As a Class A CDL Driver, Non-Crane Certified with National Trench Safety, you will be required to deliver and pick up trench-related shoring to and from customer job sites safely, timely, and efficiently. This position will adhere to all safety policies and procedures directed by DOT, FMCSR, and National Trench Safety. This position is a safety sensitive role that requires compliance with the company's drug and alcohol policy and adherence to all safety regulations and procedures. Key Responsibilities • Operate company vehicles in a safe, efficient, and professional manner., • Comply with all DOT regulations as related to the safe operation of your vehicle, including:, • Vehicle inspections at the beginning and end of each shift. Reporting any identified vehicle issues., • Keep accurate electronic driver HOS logs., • Maintain current driver credentials as required., • Comply with pre-employment, routine, random drug and alcohol testing requests., • Secure load strictly complying with DOT and company policies., • Report all accidents involving the driver or equipment to the branch management, • Deliver and pick-up shoring and plates to and from job sites multiple loads per day., • Occasionally load and unload your truck and trailer on the customer’s job site., • Occasionally assemble and disassemble shoring on job sites, • Ensure all delivery documents are properly maintained and turned in as required., • Apply knowledge of driving skills in maneuvering at various speeds in difficult locations, heavy traffic, inclement weather, mountainous terrain or tight loading dock operational areas, • Maintain open communication with branch for delivery schedules and promptly report problems related to deliveries., • Adhere to all customers’ safety requirements while at customer job sites, • May assist with yard operations, clean and prepare areas sites to eliminate possible hazards, other responsibilities as assigned, • May provide training assistance to customers by answering general questions regarding the safe operations of shoring equipment, • Record and Report to the branch management, Inside Sales rep and customer of any damage to NTS rental equipment that is as identified by the driver during the pickup process, • Be available to customers’ needs, including occasional after-hours emergencies, as needed by the branch from time to time, • Ability to secure loads safely, • Excellent communication skills verbal and written to enhance relationships with customers., • A positive attitude and occasionally requires lifting up to 50 lbs., • A minimum of (2) two years of direct experience driving vehicles that require a Class A Commercial Driver’s License is preferred., • Current Class A Commercial Driver’s License issued from the State Department of Motor Vehicles, • Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate in accordance with FMCSR 49 CFR 391.41-391.49, • Excellent medical, dental, and vision plans, • 401(k) retirement plan with company match and immediate vesting, • Team Ownership Program (TOP) grants an annual stock award to every active full-time employee. Job Description POSITION SUMMARY Stored Energy Holdings – through its legacy companies Northeast Battery, Tri-State Battery, Master Battery and Battery Men – has been in business for nearly forty years, supporting our customers and their businesses through distribution warehouses across the northeastern quadrant of the US. We provide batteries and stored energy solutions to customers in support of critical infrastructure, emergency services and first responders, public transportation, automotive and commercial trucking fleets, industrial facilities and hospitals, and remote backup power needs. We also help keep everyone moving so they can enjoy their valuable free time, powering golf carts and other electric vehicles, boats and RV’s, motorcycles, snowmobiles and ATV’s, and anything else you can think of that moves! And we rely on our GREAT sales and service drivers to provide the BEST possible experience for our customers when we deliver their batteries and other products and pick up their cores. We are growing rapidly, and we are seeking experienced Class B Route Sales/Service Drivers. Our Sales/Service Drivers represent our company and serve our customers safely and professionally, reporting to the Warehouse Manager and the Fleet Operations Manager. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: Driving and Warehouse • Transport new batteries and spent cores in strict and diligent compliance with all USDOT regulations and in accordance with dispatch instructions, • Complete all deliveries while meeting all professional expectations every day, • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance, • Properly document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts, • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures, • Maneuver trucks safely and efficiently into loading or unloading positions, at all times respectful of the property of our customer and others, • Safely operate electric and manual pallet jacks and lift gates, • Must have forklift experience as well for loading at distribution warehouses and customer sites as required, • Immediately report defects, accidents, and violations, • Load/unload truck at beginning/end of day as needed and complete all required end-of-day activities thoroughly and accurately., • Assist as needed inside warehouses to support pick/pack/ship and battery check/charge operations, physical inventory counts, etc. Customer Service / Sales • You are first and foremost our Ambassador. Our Route Sales/Service Drivers have more face-to-face interaction with our customers than anyone else in the company., • You are responsible for delivering our product to customers and retrieving cores or other product from our customers to return to our distribution warehouse, • This is NOT a “bump the dock and stand by” CDL driver job – you’ll cheerfully help customers get the batteries to the location they want in their facility and retrieve, lift, stack, and properly wrap cores if they’re not already prepared by the customer., • You will be proactive in communicating with customers, always asking for cores, always asking what else you/we can do for them before moving on to the next delivery., • You will take every opportunity during customer deliveries to observe product the customer may have on hand from other suppliers and engage with customers to ascertain whether we may be able to supply them., • In the course of your daily business, you’ll see opportunities for new business and communicate leads to the sales team, • You will maintain a clean and neat appearance, and be professional and courteous at all times, • Our customers’ success depends on your follow up to what you see. You will communicate to the sales and warehouse management teams when you see opportunities for us to be a better partner with our customers.
