Job Description General Description This position will supervise the day-to-day floor operations, conduct facilities maintenance and quality control and oversee the auditing process for the pallet repair and sorting facility. The job entails general facility maintenance with an emphasis on forklift and conveyor line repair. This position will also include general building and grounds maintenance as needed. The Facility Maintenance and Quality Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the facility and all equipment is functioning at optimum levels by performing repairs and long term improvements. Position starts at $20/hr Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Operational Supervision · Direct and supervise all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure they are correct and carried out in a timely manner · Responsible for creating and maintaining accurate records of inventories, maintenance and audits · Walk the warehouse regularly to evaluate operations, solve problems, and answer questions · Make recommendations to the Operation Site Manager on ways to improve pallet facility operations and maintenance functions Inventory Management · Monitor and maintain facility inventory system · Conducting physical inventories daily · Audit daily production and inventory levels Quality Process · Supervise and oversee outgoing and incoming shipments for proper counts as well as daily sorting and repair audits · Ensure quality builds on pallets Facility and Equipment Maintenance · Oversee repairs, refurbishment and scheduling of recurring maintenance · Allocate equipment so that it is used properly and efficiently · Coordinate with the Operations Site Manager to ensure that a sound maintenance program is implemented · Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on forklift, trucks, line machine and/or various other equipment Labor Management · Provide direct daily supervision of facility associates to ensure the safe, clean and efficient operation of the facility. · Develop and implement shipping and receiving work schedules and assignments to ensure efficient operation · Apply sound techniques in supervising, coaching and disciplining employees · Assist in the verification of payroll and time keeping Safety, Sanitation, Security · Demonstrate awareness of company safety policies and procedures and ensure that all safety procedures and policies are followed · Identify and report safety hazards · Encourage others to work safely · Operate in compliance with OSHA and other appropriate standards · Review warehouse operations daily to ensure the warehouse is neat and well organized · Monitor damage to product, equipment, and the facility to oversee prevention and/or timely repairs Documentation/Reporting · Ensure that all records and reports regarding facility operations, maintenance and auditing activity are prepared on a timely basis and effectively maintained · Review operating goals and standards and monitor achievement and compliance Communication · Communicate with both internal and external customers as required and with the pallet line team · Interact with management and the customer on a daily basis to achieve unified goals · Attend and/or conduct planning and safety meetings · Assist with training of associates Any and all other Duties as assigned by management and deemed necessary for optimal operations, performance and productivity Education and Experience · A high school diploma or equivalent is required · Must be eighteen years of age or older * Minimum 1 - 3 years of pallet manufacturing and/or repair, warehouse operations supervision, maintenance supervision to include forklift and conveyer Line repair experience or a combination thereof · Pass pre-employment drug test and background check. · Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States Knowledge and Skills Requirements · Understanding of pallet repair and sorting facility operations · Ability to work with outside contractors and drivers · Experience in forklift and conveyor line repair · Ability to provide general overall facility mechanical skills · Requires demonstrated skills in leadership, organization and communication · Must be able to supervise and direct the workforce with little or no supervision · Intermediate computer skills and Microsoft Office · Must have basic math skills · Knowledge of inventory systems (Red Links) preferred · Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures · Must be able to deal with stressful situations, meeting deadlines and tight scheduling requirements · Must be able to shift priorities easily · Must have responsible work habits · Must be detail-oriented · Must be able to multi-task · Extraordinary customer service skills · Must be prompt and on time and have good attendance record · Must have responsible work habits Physical Requirements · Must be able to work in extreme temperatures of hot, cold and/or dry environments · Must be capable of sitting, standing and walking for extended periods on concrete or hard surfaces · Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis · Requires periods during which continuous physical exertion is required such as climbing and lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward requiring the ability to regularly lift 50+ pounds without assistance and 100+ pounds with assistance and using proper lifting techniques · Have the ability to withstand loud noises and multiple distractions · Available to work overtime and weekends if and when needed Other Skills, Abilities, and Competencies · Initiative: Ability to think and take constructive action at work without being asked; skill and ability in taking the lead in forwarding new ideas or work methods · Adaptability/Flexibility: Ability to change or adapt work practices, priorities, or procedures or to reschedule activities in response to changing conditions or multiple work demands · Teamwork: Ability to work well with others in a group, cooperate with others, offer to help when needed, and foster a team climate within the group where members are committed to a common goal · Problem Solving: Using a systematic and effective approach in analyzing information in order to come up with good business solutions to problems or issues · Knowing the Business: Maintain a high level of knowledge of warehouse or pallet operations, products, etc. · Understands company's values and culture. · Understands the impact of inventory accuracy on costs and profits · Ability to understand written material and ability to write using correct spelling and punctuation · Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using fractions or decimals ABOUT US Triple C Enterprise is a subsidiary of Diversified Logistics, headquartered in Northeast Florida.
