Job Description First Responder Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting, efficient revenue accruals, and payment reconciliation, while collaborating with department managers on cost control initiatives. The Senior Accountant will also be responsible for generating statistical reports related to admissions and outpatient visits, supporting decision-making processes, and driving operational efficiency. In addition, the Senior Accountant will oversee fixed asset accounting and play a key role in month-end and year-end closing. Key Responsibilities: 1. General Accounting & Compliance: • Maintain and update accounting records and systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)., • Stay current on relevant accounting standards and regulations impacting the healthcare industry., • Ensure all financial transactions are processed and documented in accordance with established policies and procedures. 2. Cost Control & Collaboration with Department Managers: • Collaborate with department managers to monitor and control operational costs, ensuring expenses remain within budgetary guidelines., • Review and analyze departmental financial statements, identify cost-saving opportunities, and make recommendations for improvements., • Provide guidance and support to department managers in understanding financial performance and implementing cost-efficient strategies., • Participate in cost control initiatives and track the impact of any changes in treatment protocols or operational practices. 7.
