Columbus is a top destination for Ohio nursing jobs, offering a thriving community, excellent amenities, and career growth opportunities for healthcare professionals.\n \n\nRegistered Nurse Job Details\n\n • Location: Columbus, Ohio (43210) – Ohio healthcare jobs\n, • Unit: Labor & Delivery, High Risk Obstetrics (13 beds, daily census of 10)\n, • Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: December 1, 2025 – End: March 2, 2026)\n, • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2050 - $2100\n, • Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)\n, • Hours per Week: 36\n, • Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (L&D RN)\n, • Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Adolescents, Adults\n, • Weekend Coverage: Required\n, • Orientation: 36 hours\n\n\nLabor & Delivery RN Qualifications\n\n, • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience in a hospital or clinical healthcare setting\n, • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – compact or Ohio state license required\n, • BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required\n, • NCC C-EFM certification or AWHONN Advanced\n, • Proficiency with Epic charting system\n, • IV start and Labor & Delivery experience required\n, • Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program\n, • Ability to float to Antepartum and other hospital units\n, • Two professional references required (at least one from a manager, director, or formal leadership role)\n, • Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)\n, • Previous travel nursing experience preferred\n\n\nRegistered Nurse Responsibilities\n\n, • Deliver comprehensive patient care in labor, delivery, and high-risk obstetrics settings\n, • Perform IV starts and maintain central lines (CVC/PICC)\n, • Assist with sterile speculum exams, cervical cerclage, and tubal ligation procedures\n, • Circulate for and recover C-section deliveries\n, • Support breastfeeding, lactation, and postpartum care\n, • Conduct APGAR scoring, pain assessment, and pain management\n, • Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate patterns using EFM and IUPC\n, • Administer medications including Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate therapy\n, • Perform wound assessment, fundus, lochia, and perineum care\n, • Float to Antepartum and other hospital units as needed\n We believe in empowering your career.
