American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Indianapolis, Indiana. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: OR - Operating Room, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 12/15/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 10 hours, nights, • Work in the Operating Room of a short-term acute care hospital, • Patient cases include general, plastics, GYN, ENT, trauma, neuro, ortho, GU, and colorectal robotics, • Average daily census is 70-80 with 21 ORs, • Night shift schedule with four 10-hour shifts from 21:00 to 07:30, • Six call shifts are required every six weeks and holiday coverage is required, • Floating within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals is mandatory, • Uses Cerner EMR system with previous Cerner experience preferred, • Scrub attire is provided, • Daily responsibilities include circulating, assisting with various high-acuity cases across multiple specialties, and adapting to different surgical teams as needed, • First-time travelers are welcome to apply, • Must be willing to float to other units or affiliate hospitals as required, • RTO policy allows for up to 5 non-holiday days off to be auto-approved; must work at least 2 out of 3 major holidays, • Free onsite parking is available, • Former permanent or PRN employees must have a 12-month gap before returning as a traveler\n \n Requirements\n, • Active IN or compact RN license must be in hand at time of consideration, • Minimum 3 years of recent OR RN experience, including at least 1 year in a Level I trauma setting, • BLS certification required (AHA or RQI accepted and must be current), • Circulating experience required; scrub experience preferred, • Diploma from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program, • Must provide two supervisor references for consideration, • Physically able to meet the demands of the OR environment\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
