Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 01/05/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Employment Type: Travel Title: RN PCU Location: Indianapolis, IN 46202 Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Requirements: 2+ Yrs. of exp. RN Active License. ACLS, BLS Required. Cerner preferred Description: First Time Travelers Accepted Locals: Not accepted No Holiday RTO *** Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to 1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR 2) if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract 3) If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract *** Weekends: Travelers are expected to work every other week per their contract. Pending operational needs, consecutive weekends may be needed based on the greatest need *** Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources. Skillset Requirements: Minimum 2 years experience Proficient in cardiac monitoring- on unit monitoring Management of chest tubes Fresh trachs Feeding tube care and management Care of post of patients Epidurals Management of non-titratable cardiac drips IV insulin protocols and titration of insulin drips External BiPAP/CPAP Total laryngectomy Doppler flap checks Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals REFUSAL TO FLOAT MAY END IN TERMINATION OF CONTRACT Staffing Ratios: 1:3-4 Unit Information: Surgical PCU- almost ICU level acuity- ENT (Neck dissections, Mandibulectomy), Thoracic (Esophagectomy, Lobectomy, Pneumonectomy), General Surg.
