Job DescriptionSalary: $95,000 - $120,000 per year Director of Nursing & Clinical Operations (DNCO) Hospice Full-Time | Home & Facility-Based Care Location: Arlington, TX + Service Area (DFW Metroplex) Lead from the Field. We are looking for a hands-on clinical leader who is visible in the fieldsupporting nurses, strengthening facility relationships, and ensuring that patient care is delivered at the highest level. Role Overview The Director of Nursing & Clinical Operations (DNCO) is a Registered Nurse responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and quality of clinical services across both home and facility-based care. This is a field-engaged leadership role, combining: • Clinical oversight, • Team development, • Operational execution, • RN Case Managers, • Hospice Aides, • Social Workers, • Chaplain/Bereavement Coordinators What Youll Do • Lead and manage all clinical operations across home and facility settings, • Be present and visible in the field:, • Shadow RN visits, • Support staff in real-time patient care situations, • Engage directly with facility partners and referral sources, • Set and enforce standards for communication, accountability, and care delivery, • Ensure appropriate staffing, productivity, and case distribution, • Coach, develop, and hold clinical staff accountable to expectations, • Address performance issues early and directly, • Coordinate care across interdisciplinary teams, patients, families, and referral partners, • Monitor, analyze, and act on QAPI data to improve outcomes, • Ensure compliance with hospice regulations, documentation, and best practices, • Strengthen clinical performance in key facility partnerships (e.g., nursing homes) What Makes This Role Different • You are not managing from a distanceyou are leading in the field, • You will directly influence patient experience, team performance, and referral relationships, • This is a build-and-scale role, not a maintenance position, • You will help define the standard of care and communication for the organization Who You Are • A strong clinical leader who leads by examplenot just direction, • A proactive operator who solves problems before they escalate, • A confident communicator who can navigate difficult conversations with staff, families, and partners, • A decisive leader who addresses underperformance directly, • A team builder who creates accountability, trust, and consistency, • A mission-driven professional who balances clinical excellence with compassion Minimum Requirements • Current, unencumbered Texas RN License, • 3+ years hospice case management experience, • 1+ years of hospice leadership/management experience, • Reliable transportation with current insurance, • Current CPR certification, • Current TB test (negative) or equivalent, • Ability to travel throughout service area Preferred (Not Required) • Experience scaling or growing a hospice program, • Strong QAPI and clinical performance improvement experience, • Experience leading interdisciplinary teams, • Familiarity with Consolo EMR Non-Negotiables • You take ownership of clinical outcomes and team performance, • You are visible, engaged, and present in the field, • You hold people accountableconsistently and professionally, • You communicate clearly and proactively, • You address issues early instead of allowing them to escalate Compensation • Base Salary: $95,000 $125,000+ (based on experience), • Performance Bonuses: Monthly and quarterly incentives tied to:, • Census growth, • Clinical quality, • Team performance and retention, • Auto Allowance, • Phone Allowance What We Offer • Clinician-led organization with direct access to leadership, • Opportunity to build and shape a high-performance clinical team, • A role with real visibility, influence, and impact, • A mission-driven environment where your leadership directly affects patient and family experience Final Thought The best clinical leaders dont sit behind desksthey show up when it matters most.
