Job DescriptionEntry-Level Diesel Mechanic We are hiring an Entry-Level Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Commerce City. This is a great opportunity for someone with automotive mechanic experience or formal mechanic schooling who’s ready to transition into diesel and heavy equipment. Location: Commerce City, CO Pay: $24–$26/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1st Shift) • Voluntary overtime + Saturdays availableWhat You’ll Do:, • Review daily work orders with supervisors and lead mechanics, • Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs on trucks, trailers, and diesel equipment, • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, • Assist with repairs on diesel engines and heavy equipment, • Work on equipment such as compressors, generators, mixers, forklifts, loaders, and excavators (based on experience), • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics, • Use hand tools and basic fabrication techniques, • Accurately complete service documentation, • Perform physical tasks as needed in a shop environment, • Maintain your tools and follow all safety and company policiesWhat You Bring:, • 1+ year of mechanic experience OR mechanic schooling required (automotive, motorcycle, or diesel), • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability, • Proficiency with mechanic hand tools (Class I tools required), • Ability to perform inspections, PMs, and basic repairs, • Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, • Ability to read schematics and blueprints, • Basic computer skills for service documentation (preferred), • Reliable, team-oriented mindset and willingness to learnPreferred Skills (Not Required):, • ASE certification, • Experience with heavy equipment or diesel systems, • Background working with compressors, generators, or construction equipment, • Forklift, loader, or excavator experience, • Fabrication experience, • Experience in construction, industrial, or heavy equipment environmentsWhy Join Us?, • Consistent daytime schedule with optional overtime, • Supportive, team-focused shop environment, • Hands-on training with experienced mechanics, • Work on a wide variety of trucks and heavy equipment, • Strong emphasis on safety, communication, and skill development, • Daily team meetings to keep expectations clear and work organized Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Commerce City, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
