Job Description Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Technician Job Description This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical systems and industrial equipment in a plant environment. You will support safe and reliable operations by performing preventive and corrective maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, power transmission systems, conveyors, cranes, and mobile equipment, while working independently or as part of a maintenance team on rotating shifts. Key Responsibilities • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and systems., • Work on hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and power transmission systems., • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on:, • Conveyors, • Cranes, • Gearboxes, • Mobile equipment, • Identify mechanical problems and complete repairs efficiently., • Support production operations when needed., • Perform welding, fabrication, pipefitting, and structural repairs., • Complete basic electrical repairs and PLC troubleshooting., • Work safely at heights and in confined spaces., • Document maintenance work and equipment repairs., • Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times., • Work independently and as part of a maintenance team., • Work rotating 8-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.Required Skills & Experience, • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience (or equivalent education/military experience)., • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills., • Experience with:, • Hydraulic systems, • Pneumatic systems, • Lubrication systems, • Power transmission systems, • Experience maintaining conveyors, cranes, gearboxes, and mobile equipment., • Welding and basic fabrication experience., • Pipefitting and structural repair experience., • Basic electrical maintenance and troubleshooting skills., • Experience troubleshooting PLCs., • High School Diploma or GED., • Ability to pass a Ramsey Test., • Comfortable working in a physically demanding industrial environment., • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and on rotating shifts.Preferred Qualifications, • Industrial or manufacturing maintenance technician experience., • Diesel mechanic or heavy equipment maintenance experience., • Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs., • Ability to read technical manuals, drawings, and equipment specifications., • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities., • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.Work Environment, • Industrial plant setting., • Exposure to hot, cold, wet, greasy, dirty, and noisy conditions., • Regular use of PPE, including:, • Hard hat, • Safety glasses, • Hearing protection, • Protective clothing, • Steel-toe/metatarsal boots, • Work may involve climbing, working at heights, and confined spaces. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Granite City, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $71427.00 - $79747.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
