Job Description Qualifications • To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:, • Analytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and develops SOP’S (Standard Operating Procedures), • Technical Skills – Understands and has working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS 9100, NADCAP, Mil-Specs, ITAR, aerospace specification, metallurgy, special processing, and raw material specification; Able to clearly share expertise and transfer technical knowledge to others; Communicates technical knowledge and expertise with customers to instill confidence regarding quality function, • Lead Auditor and works with audits (ISO 9001, AS 9100, NADCAP), • Oral and Written Communication – Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens intently to others and seeks clarification; Provides clear and pleasant responses to inquires regardless of the situation; Presents complex concepts in a simple manner to achieve understanding of benefit plans at all levels of the organization, • Bachelor’s degree in engineering in related discipline and minimum 3 to 7 years directly related experience required and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience, • Working knowledge of special processes, manufacturing methods, metallurgy, design, and documentation, • Strong drafting skills, excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to work within a team, • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, • Ability to write simple correspondence, • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization, • Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, and sampling theory, • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic mainframe computer systems and familiar with Spreadsheet and Word Processing software, • Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables, • Certificates, licenses, registrations, • Certified 6 Sigma Black or Green Belt, Certified Quality Engineer, and/or Auditor, • PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORK ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH AND ,SAFETY, • The physical demands described here are representative of conditions and limiting environmental impact Benefits • 401K, • Paid Sick Leave, • PTO Responsibilities • The focus of this position is to proactively plan and direct activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for manufacturing processes, materials, and products, • Perform internal and supplier audits in accordance with published schedules and procedures or specifications, • Review and follow-up on corrective action submittals and closes acceptable corrective actions, escalates to management as necessary any questionable corrective actions, • Review engineering drawings for accuracy following QA procedures, • Initiate and/or revise Quality Assurance manual, procedures, and work instructions, • Update and mail supplier quality and delivery rating reports, as required, • Advise the Director of Quality Assurance of any possible quality concerns/ incidents as required, • Is the point of contact and individual who accompanies customers during an audit and provide any requested information and documentation for on-site review, • Perform AS9100 awareness training and implements processes as assigned by Management, • Perform detailed trending analysis of related quality data identifying top issues in pareto format, and facilitate problem and/or process improvement activities, • Develops action plans to reach site objectives, • Maintain and support the Quality Management system AS9100, NADCAP, etc..., • To include: reviews, audits, and training, • May have supervisory and administration duties for Factory Quality Specialists, • Responsible for complying with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, State government and CPI., • Responsible for attending all training provided and for adhering to all CPI procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements, and safe operating procedures at all times, • Required to bring any known or suspected nonconformance for all company procedures or legal requirements to management’s attention immediately, • Continually seek opportunities to improve our performance by establishing objectives and targets, measuring progress, and reporting our results, • Reports quality metrics weekly and monthly in association with Batch Rejection Rates, First Pass Yield, rework %, sorted % and scrap %, Management Business Reviews and Process Improvement Teams, • Prepares different formats for a variety of quality performance charts, graphs and reports, • Collect and report data on a daily basis, • Ability to create forms for quality assurance activities, • Use statistical tools to analyze data, make appropriate recommendations or decisions, and improve process capability using quality tools such as pareto charts and fishbone diagrams, • Collaborate with cross-functional groups such as Engineering, Planning and Manufacturing to resolve quality problems, • Support various departments with process improvements projects by using quality performance reports and graphs including pivot tables and rejection/scrap history, • Other duties as assigned, • Ways of working, Experience, and Behaviors, • Demonstrates
