Job Description Job Title: Project Estimator (In-Home / Outside Sales) Location: San Antonio, TX (and surrounding areas) Job Type: Full-Time Compensation: Competitive base pay + uncapped commission (performance bonuses available) About San Antonio Deck & Fence San Antonio Deck & Fence designs and builds high-quality decks, fences, gates, and outdoor living projects for homeowners across the San Antonio area. We’re growing fast and looking for a motivated sales professional who can help customers confidently turn “I want a better backyard” into a completed project. Position Summary As a Deck & Fence Sales Professional, you’ll meet with homeowners, understand their needs, design the right solution, and close projects with integrity. This is a consultative, relationship-driven role—ideal for someone who enjoys in-home/outside sales, is comfortable discussing budgets, and can manage a pipeline from first call to signed contract. You’ll work closely with our production team to ensure a smooth handoff and a great customer experience. What You’ll Do • Show up to each call on time and dressed appropriately., • Build Trust and Rapport with potential customers., • Measure job sites, capture photos, and gather details needed for accurate estimates., • Educate customers on material options (wood/composite decking, cedar/pine fencing, metal options, gates, staining, etc.)., • Build and present clear proposals that outline scope, timeline expectations, and pricing., • Follow up consistently to answer questions and overcome objections., • Close deals and collect signed agreements and deposits per company process., • Maintain accurate notes, tasks, and deal stages in our CRM (no “sticky note pipeline”)., • Coordinate a clean handoff to production and stay engaged through the early project phase., • Attend weekly sales/production check-ins and continuously improve your process., • You’re confidently running appointments, quoting accurately, and closing consistently., • Your CRM pipeline is clean—every lead has a next step scheduled., • Customers feel informed and taken care of from first visit through project kickoff., • Production receives complete job info (measurements, photos, scope details) with minimal rework. Requirements • Proven sales experience (in-home sales, outside sales, or high-ticket consultative sales preferred)., • Strong communication skills—professional, friendly, and direct., • Comfortable discussing budgets and asking for the sale., • Highly organized: able to manage multiple leads, follow-ups, and active proposals., • Tech capable: smartphone/tablet, email, calendar, CRM, basic estimating tools., • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (you’ll be traveling to job sites)., • Able to work some evenings/weekends based on customer availability. Preferred (Nice to Have) • Experience in home improvement sales (fencing, decking, roofing, windows, solar, landscaping, remodeling, etc.)., • Understanding of basic construction concepts and reading a tape measure., • Bilingual (English/Spanish)., • Experience with CRMs (Jobber, HubSpot, Pipedrive, etc.) and quoting tools.
