Intern Architect – Design & Development Location: New York, NY Type: Internship (Part-Time or Full-Time) Start Date: ASAP About the Role Urban Stash is seeking a creative and driven Intern Architect to join our growing design & development team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll help us reimagine self-storage for the modern urban environment. You’ll work closely with leadership to conceptualize, design, and develop new self-storage sites throughout NYC and beyond. What You’ll Do - Assist in site analysis, space planning, and feasibility studies for new storage locations - Create schematic designs, 3D models, and presentation materials for investor and city review - Collaborate on design documentation for permitting and construction - Research zoning, building codes, and ADA compliance specific to each project - Bring fresh ideas to help elevate storage from utility to experience Who You Are - Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) - Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and/or SketchUp; Adobe Suite a plus - Strong design sensibility and an interest in urban problem-solving - Eager to work on real-world projects from concept through construction - Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment - Curious, resourceful, and detail-oriented ** ** Bonus Points - Interest in adaptive reuse, modular design, or urban infrastructure - Familiarity with NYC zoning or building code - Portfolio showcasing real or academic projects that explore space efficiency or unconventional uses

Now in its 50th year, Small World Early Childhood Center serves 139 2-5 year olds during the school day, extended day and summer months through NYCDOE Birth to Five contract and subsidized tuition/fees. Children and their families represent diverse cultures, languages, socio-economics, LGBTQIA+ identities, and differing abilities. Small World is part of St. Nicks Alliance’s impressive network of services for 6,000 children and youth across North Brooklyn. Located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we are seeking an experienced, NYS-certified Early Childhood Director for Small World. What You’ll Do: Small World’s experienced, NYS certified Education Director, Early Childhood leads a team of 27 staff, including head teachers, assistant teachers and a behavioral specialist. Reporting to the Small World’s Center Director, the Education Director is responsible for achieving high-quality educational services for all students, high-performing instructional staff and consistent family engagement in their children’s learning and development. We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to support infrastructure projects at a major airport. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in Excel, including the ability to create queries, analyze data, and generate reports to support project decision-making. This role requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and experience coordinating construction, engineering, or operational projects within an airport or similar setting. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain an airport security badge, including passing all background checks required by airport authorities. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of airport construction, maintenance, or operational projects. - Utilize Excel at an advanced level (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, Power Query) to manage, analyze, and interpret project data. - Create and maintain queries and reports to track project progress, budgets, schedules, and key performance indicators. - Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment with regulatory and safety requirements. - Monitor project milestones and generate data-driven insights to support decision-making. - Work with GIS, AutoCAD, and other engineering tools as needed to support project analysis. - Identify potential risks and provide solutions to maintain project timelines and budgets. - Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively. - Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, airport policies, and industry best practices. - Support project documentation, reporting, and presentations for executive leadership and stakeholders. - Obtain and maintain airport security credentials (badging) as required by airport authorities, including passing all necessary background checks. Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Aviation Management, or a related field. - 2-5 years of experience in project engineering, airport operations, or infrastructure project management. - Advanced Excel skills: Must be proficient in Power Query, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Macros, Data Validation, and Data Analysis Tools. - Experience with data queries, SQL, or other database tools is a plus. - Familiarity with airport infrastructure, FAA regulations, and aviation project management. - Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering plans. - Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. - Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security badge, including meeting all background check requirements. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working on airport construction or operations projects. - Knowledge of Primavera P6, AutoCAD, GIS, or other project management software. - Prior experience with large-scale infrastructure projects. - Understanding of environmental, safety, and regulatory compliance within airport operations.
