Job DescriptionSalary: Attention ALL Cafeteria / Restaurant cooks - Tired of late evenings and weekends - Growing Kids Learning Center on State Road 23 seeks an individual to prepare breakfast, snacks, and lunches, and occasionally back-up teachers. Their responsibilities include: Responsibilities: • Food preparation:Preparing nutritious meals in bulk for breakfast, lunch, and snacks, • Food safety:Following strict food safety regulations and sanitation guidelines, • Kitchen maintenance:Keeping the kitchen clean and orderly by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out the trash, • Food storage:Ensuring that all food and other items are stored properly, • Ordering:Ordering food and supplies as needed Qualifications: • Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment, • Ensures the safety of the children entrusted in our care, • Submit to a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB testing upon hire, • Follow the state regulation nutritional requirements, • Participates in continued professional development for center workers, • Budget, plan, and prepare weekly menus, • Physical requirements: the ability to lift (45 lbs) and stand for prolonged periods Schedule: • Onsite - Monday to Friday - NO late evenings Education: • High school or equivalent (Required) or currently enrolled in a school internship program.
