American Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in Boston, Massachusetts. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Physical Therapist, • Discipline: Therapy, • Start Date: 03/08/2026, • Duration: 24 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Days, 5x8hrs, • Hours: 40 hrs/wk, • Start Date: Mar 8, 2026, • Length: 24 weeks, • Acute care inpatient setting within a large academic medical center in Boston, • Primary team/service area assignment with rotation across other services as needed, • 8-hour day shifts, primarily Monday through Friday, • Weekend work anticipated approximately once per month; a compensatory weekday off is provided during the same pay period when a weekend is worked, • No holiday coverage anticipated, • Uses Epic for chartingRequirements, • Active Massachusetts PT license required; conditional licenses not accepted, • BLS certification required (AHA only; Red Cross, CHSF, and Military cards are not accepted at this location), • 1–2 years of physical therapy experience preferred; candidates with internship or apprenticeship experience will be considered, • Familiarity with Epic or similar EMR systems, • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and case management skills, • Knowledge of medical terminology and related accreditation and certification requirements, • Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted, • License required if applicable, • 2 professional references required for considerationAdditional Information, • Responsibilities include patient assessment, establishing individualized plans of care, administering manual exercises, and instructing patients and families on physical activities and assistive devices, • Therapists evaluate treatment effectiveness at multiple stages and adjust plans accordingly to maximize patient outcomes, • Supervision of PTAs in accordance with organizational policy and Massachusetts state regulations is expected, • Timekeeping is conducted via UKG/Kronos, • No validated parking is available at the Boston location; public transportation is encouraged, and public parking lots are available at an estimated cost of $17–$22 per day, • Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local and are eligible for the position at a reduced pay rate With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
