Job Description Van Cleef Engineering Associates, LLC (Van Cleef) is a dynamic, multi‐disciplined consulting civil engineering firm of Engineers, Certified Inspectors, Landscape Architects, Planners and Land Surveyors. We are currently seeking a Corporate Accountant to join our team in Hillsborough, NJ. Primary Responsibilities, include but are not limited to: • Perform monthly general ledger close through to the trial balance, • Prepare and record monthly journal entries, including required reclassifications and monthly accruals., • Record company payroll/tax disbursement and journal entries for pay, taxes, 401k and FSA., • Maintain monthly prepayment, amortization schedules and monthly bank reconciliations., • Prepare monthly account analysis and reconciliations., • Ensure all A/P invoices, expenses, check requests, etc. are processed accurately and timely., • Prepare and issue 1099s to consultants/vendors., • Compile materials for year-end financial statements and tax planning for outside accounting firm., • Identify and resolve financial discrepancies., • Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested., • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business, • 3+ years of corporate accounting experience., • Knowledge of Microsoft Office with superior Excel skills, • Experience working in Professional Consulting Services firm. {Architecture and Engineering (A&E) Industry experience preferred}, • Proficiency in Deltek Vision a strong plus, • Highly analytical with strong writing and verbal communications skills, • Highly organized with an eye for detail and problem solving., • Ability to prioritize and work in a team environment and independently., • Excellent time management skills with an ability to meet deadlines.
