Job DescriptionDescription: Not just another boring attorney role ---- a key role at a top tier award winning personal injury law firm What does it look like: Case intake & screening · Evaluate new matters for liability, causation, damages, venue/jurisdiction, and collectability · Identify standard-of-care issues and potential defendants (providers, facilities, corporate entities) · Set realistic client expectations and guide decisions on proceeding or declining Early case development · Direct and manage comprehensive medical record collection · Build chronology, identify deviations from standard of care, and frame causation theory · Coordinate pre-suit requirements as applicable Expert strategy · Select, retain, and manage medical experts · Prepare experts for reports, affidavits, depositions, and trial testimony · Drive case value through disciplined expert and damages development Litigation management · Draft and file pleadings; manage discovery strategy; handle written discovery and motion practice · Take/defend depositions · Prepare for mediation/settlement conferences and negotiate from a position of strength · Build trial themes, exhibits, expert outlines, jury instructions, and trial briefs Client experience · Maintain consistent, compassionate communication throughout long case timelines · Explain complex medical/legal issues clearly and document all guidance Compensation and Benefits package: • $130 – 160k, • Comprehensive benefit offerings, • Medical, dental, and vision, • Flexible Time Off, • 401k with match, • Dog friendly campus Requirements: What do I need to bring to the table: • Juris Doctor (JD) and active license in Colorado, • Minimum of 2 years experience in litigation and/or medical malpractice-- required, • Proven ability to manage cases with minimal supervision, • Demonstratable trial experience in complex cases, • Excellent negotiation skills – pushing back as needed, • Highly organized with strong case management abilities, • Committed – fearless, driven, accountable, resilient, • Mindful – measured, prudent, critical thinking, results oriented problem solvers, • Agile – continually improve, love to learn, flexible, creative If you possess the necessary qualifications, we would love the opportunity to talk with you!
