We are looking for a dedicatedAssociate Criminal Defense Attorneyto manage our Tarrant County docket. Associate attorneys manage their own dockets with oversight of a supervising attorney. Key Responsibilities: • Manage the Tarrant County docket by attending court dates, handling new client meetings, communicating with the court and assistant district attorneys., • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients within your county., • Try cases as either first or second chair., • Assist other attorneys on the team with municipal court settings and ALR hearings., • Keep clients informed and provide regular updates on case progress, addressing any concerns and ensuring they are well-informed., • Track case deadlines and ensure compliance with all procedural requirements., • Identify potential case issues and provide proactive solutions to ensure smooth case management and successful client outcomes., • Minimum of 2 years in criminal defense or 3 years as an assistant district attorney, with a strong understanding of criminal procedure., • Familiarity with the Tarrant County Criminal Courts (DAs, Judges, and Coordinators)., • Ability to work independently while efficiently managing multiple cases in a fast-paced environment., • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills to ensure timely case progression., • Strong written and verbal communication abilities., • Experience with a case management system., • A proactive and positive team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to achieving client-centered outcomes., • Friendly and empathetic demeanor with patience and professionalism when engaging with clients., • Pay:Salary dependent upon experience, with room for growth and bonuses., • Referrals are paid at 33% for criminal cases, with additional referral bonuses for personal injury and civil rights cases., • Reimbursement for mileage, tolls and expenses that are work related., • Supportive, flexible, and collaborative work environment that fosters professional growth., • Hybrid work model offering up to one remote workday per week after probationary period., • Fully paid health, dental, and vision insurance., • Employer-paid short-term disability (STD), accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D), and life insurance coverage., • 401(k) plan with employer contributions and matching options., • Generous paid time off, including nine paid holidays and extended holiday breaks., • Employer pays for professional licensing fees and continuing education expenses., • Profit-sharing program to reward team contributions and success., • Monthly team lunches and holiday celebrations to foster a positive workplace culture., • Additional perks, including free parking and access to an on-site gym and sauna.
