This position supports our oral surgeon in providing patient care before, during, and after each procedure. Key Responsibilities • Assist oral surgeon during surgical procedures., • Prepare treatment rooms and surgical trays for procedures., • Sterilize and disinfect surgical instruments, materials, and equipment in strict accordance with OSHA and infection control protocols., • Maintain and ensure proper functioning of instruments and equipment., • Monitor patients before, during, and after sedation, recording vital signs accurately., • Document and maintain accurate medical records within the EMR system, ensuring compliance with HIPAA., • Obtain CBCT, X-rays, intraoral scanning, photos, etc., as needed., • Greet, seat, and prepare patients for office visits and procedures., • Conduct patient assessments during evaluations, including vital signs and medical history review., • Perform administrative tasks such as patient check-in, pre- and post-op call, appointment scheduling, charting, sending prescriptions, etc., • Monitor stock of surgical supplies and medication as needed., • Provide support with general office tasks such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, etc. Performance Expectations • Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled shifts., • Maintain a professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude at all times., • Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in all clinical and administrative tasks., • Provide compassionate, respectful, and clear communication with patients and team members., • Support efficient daily workflow by anticipating the surgeon’s and patients’ needs., • Take initiative to restock, organize, and maintain cleanliness of clinical areas., • Be adaptable and flexible in assisting with both clinical and administrative needs as directed.
