The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for supporting the management of inventory control functions, coordinating, and documenting the flow of products between warehouses. Trains new employees in Ceres (ERP) and bar coding. Research and troubleshoots inventory accuracy and equipment. Responsibilities: Routinely travels to assigned branches and maintains inventory databases (Ceres, Agency Express); leads efforts to ensure cycle counts are being adhered to communicated with Raleigh HQ. (60%) • Verify accurate receiving against receiving book reports., • Reviews and analyzes quarterly cycle count discrepancies and collaborates with Operations Manager about resolutions., • Keeps track of barcoding equipment and ensure equipment is working properly and replacement equipment inventory is readily available. Collaboration and Training - (40%) • Collaborates with Operations Manager in all inventory areas especially as it relates to short dated, aging of product and receiving and shipping documents., • Develops, implements, maintains, and archives standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training guides to onboard new staff., • Participates in monthly meetings as required., • Develops and implements End of Year inventory procedures based on barcoding/pick slot procedures., • Adhere to all food safety regulations and Food Bank standard operating procedures. Qualifications: • High school diploma required; at least 2 years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience., • Working knowledge of ERP systems., • Leadership skills and experience are preferred., • Public speaking skills are preferred., • Forklift Certificate is preferred, although on the job training is provided., • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills to work with diverse groups of people., • Be detail oriented and maintain accurate records., • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide units of weight, compute ratio, rate and percentage., • Excellent customer service and organizational skills are necessary., • Must possess strong work ethic and time management skills., • Must be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment and ability to make frequent changes of routine and pace of activity due to unpredictable constituent demands without loss of efficiency and composure., • Valid NC Driver License, • Must believe in the mission of the organization. While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and interact without deliberate impediment (e.g. wearing or listening to headphones, etc.). The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; climb and/or balance, stoop, crouch, and crawl. The employee is often required to sit and lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. The employee is occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Work Environment: While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to work in an office and warehouse setting. Must be able to spend at least 65% of the day standing and walking on surfaces such as concrete and ground. Frequently, the employee will be required to drive an automobile. The employee will be required to interact with Food Bank personnel in the warehouse(s). In doing so, the employee will occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. Warehouse can be extremely cold at times and extremely hot during the summer months. While performing the responsibilities of the job, these work environment characteristics are representative of the environment the job holder will encounter.
