Job DescriptionDiesel Mechanic -- Weekly Pay -- up to $42 per hour -- 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM shift Job Description We are seeking skilled Diesel Mechanics to service a wide variety of equipment including pickups, forklifts, asphalt equipment, semi tractors, rollers, motor graders, and wheel loaders. The role involves performing oil changes, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and full repairs in our shop. We welcome applications from A-level technicians and are also open to training the right candidates. Responsibilities • Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment and vehicles., • Conduct oil changes and preventive maintenance., • Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and execute full repairs., • Complete motor rebuilds as needed., • Experience with lube tech, repair, hydraulics, preventive maintenance, transmission, brake, diesel maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting, electrical, and engine repair., • Ability to perform oil changes and equipment maintenance., • Minimum of 1 year of experience in troubleshooting equipment and working as a mechanic., • 5+ years of equipment/mechanic knowledge preferred., • Experience working in a fleet or equipment shop is advantageous., • Background in the construction industry is a plus. Work Environment Our tight-knit team operates out of a shop with long-tenured staff, where most have been with us for over 10 years. The shop lacks heating and air conditioning, creating a rugged work environment. Service technicians will travel within a 2-2.5 hour radius to various job sites and may need to be on call occasionally. The dress code includes jeans, boots, and layers as needed, given the nature of the work. Standard hours are Monday to Friday from 7 am to 5:30 pm, with occasional Saturday work if necessary. Service techs may have variable hours depending on the job requirement Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln, NE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $42.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
